Quit being a tease and unload with both barrels. Would be kinda fitting considering how this thread started.

Forget that! I don't want to go through that again.

And to stick with the thread's topic, I think Cheney shot that guy on purpose. I hate that fat, evil oxen of a man.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Skipping past all the "he said, she said" posts immediately after the first post... Thanks for doing the test. I've heard conflicting things back and forth, had pretty much sttled on 30 yards as the most probable scenario but this pretty much nailed it for me.

But I do think Cheney DID lie- about alcohol. The deep deep silence about Whittington's BAC and Cheney's activities after the shooting indicate that he's had much more alcohol than he admitted. (Sure, he had a beer with lucnh- but what did he have before and after lunch?) Since I'll never had proof either way I'll just have to hang on to my deep-seated suspicions about the guy in a display of sheer orneriness.

PS- Who says we never learn from each other?

SignyM,

I have mixed feelings about the delay in C's reporting/fessing up. First, Whittington could well and easily have died. In that case, C would have been up for something like Negligent Manslaughter, and anything he may have said before the guy died could most likely have been used either to help convict him, or to support a likely lawsuit by the surviving family. Therefore, I suspect C was waiting to see just how bad it was going to turn out before he committed himself. And when he did, to his credit he took FULL blame, as he ought to have.

The alcohol question, including his admission to one beer (how big?) (heart medication?) will always remain a mystery. Was he plastered? Mebbe. Did he break one of the four fundamental gun-safety laws? Absolutely. In any case, this thread was by no means intended to give C or the administration a pass on any of its heinous and ongoing crimes. It was strictly to quiet a bunch of raving dunces who were apparently being taken as "experts" around the Internet. I simply verified that Cheney did not lie about the approximate distance of the errant shot.

As some of you know, I test guns for a living and have done so for a great many years. I took exception to the claims made online recently (and discussed at length in various strings here on FFF.net) by a pack of so-called experts (Alex Jones/Infowars), who said Cheney lied. In fact, the testers lied.

There are currently many rumors and claims by "experts" circulating on the Internet that say Mr. Cheney lied about the range at which he shot Mr. Whittington. I do not particularly like Mr. Cheney, but have determined he was telling the truth:

MY OWN TESTS:
I just now, 3:45 PM, 2/19/06, performed the following tests. I used thin plastic gallon jugs full of water. On my range, at a measured 30 yards, I shot one jug with #7-1/2 shot, and the jug nearly exploded. Many shot pellets (about 50) remained inside the jug. Many more had gone through a full six inches of cold water and penetrated the far side of the jug.

Not content, I filled another plastic water jug with water at about 100 degrees, the approximate temperature of a man. I then covered the jug with three layers of cotton clothing. This time I used a precisely measured charge of 3/4-ounces of #7-1/2 shot, and hit this second jug from a measured 30 yards (not feet!). The jug was again fully penetrated several times, the pellets having traversed three layers of cotton clothing, 0.015" of plastic, six inches of water, and another 0.015" of plastic.

Thirty-seven (37) pellets remained inside of the jug, and the far side of the jug -- six inches of through-water penetration -- was very badly damaged from the shot where it didn't penetrate the last layer of plastic. In case readers don't know, water penetration is a VERY tough test of terminal ballistics, and far better than the cardboard" or rubber dummies or dead chickens (frozen?) used in the so-called experts' test.

The bottom line here is there is absolutely no reason to doubt what Mr. Cheney said. He shot Mr. Whittington at about 30 yards. There is neither controversy nor coverup here. Ballistics don't lie.

As my doctor/hunter friend (who was entirely correct in his assessment of the potential damage that could be done by #7-1/2 pellets at 30 yards, and which I doubted until today) put it, if Whittington had caught the full charge, or had been much closer to Cheney, he'd be dead. As it is, he's lucky to be alive.

Hey Moron - do you have any idea what gauge shotgun you were allegedly shooting? Do you know what gauge is? Do you know the difference between a 410, 28 and 12 gauge? Here's a tip - put the gun to your head and pull the trigger, then get a helper to measure the size of the hole. Then we will know what size shotgun you used in your "professional ballistics test".

BTW, medical doctors reported on TV that Whittington was hit by about 200 pellets, which means he was closer that 90 feet. And they don't know how many bounced off his glasses, plastic vest and clothing.

DON'T BLAME DRUNK DICK, JUST BLAME THE DRUNK VICTIM:

"At a news conference Wednesday outside Whittington’s hospital in Corpus Christi, reporters asked hospital officials whether Whittington’s blood-alcohol level had been tested. The officials responded with a 'no comment.' In a recorded, on-the-record phone call with NBC News, Armstrong said that beer may have been available at lunch that day. 'If someone wants to help themselves to a beer,' she said, 'they may, but I did not see anyone do that,' Armstrong says. She says she was not sure if there were beers in the coolers but wasn't ready to rule it out: 'There may be a beer or two in there, but remember not everyone in the party was shooting,' she told NBC News."

In the end, all we want are answers, right?

But his utimate aim of world domination still bothers me Chrisisall

As usual, my post is redundant. Chris said it, including the domination thing. But Mr. Jones is not exactly a credible source, and I thought mistaking 30y for 18f was a bit much. I can see cheney saying yards and meaning feet, or mistaking 90ft for 60ft, people are bad judges of distance. Anyway, thanks for the correction.

I think the estimate of shots hitting Whittington is now 200, so that would bode for a slightly closer than 30 yards, but again, very hard thing to judge. Calling 15 feet 30 yards would have been a lie.

One slight remaining snag. The statistical chances of hitting Mr. Whittington at random head towards astronomical as you move Cheney farther away. At 90y I would think it was statistically impossble unless Cheney was aiming for Harry. I guess there's more to think about.

I think that this is one of those areas we were talking about where it isn't politics to talk about the ballistics of the accident.

John Lee, conspiracy therapist at Hollywood award-winner History Channel-mocked SNL-spoofed PirateNew.org wooHOO!!!!!!

Our crooked copsters here in Knoxville Tennessee are no better than in Texas. They've fumbled the ball so many times, when they could have arrested Bush & Cheney when they fly into Knoxville International Cocaine Airport. But then, our former mayor was Bush Jr's Skull & Bones coffinmate and fellow cheerleader at all-male Yale (now he's ambassador to Poland), and the owners of our Scripps Howard media mafia cartel are members of Bohemian Grove.

For ANYBODY to support Cheney in ANYTHING he does is criminal, insane, and suicidal. Ruxton's "pro ballistics test" is a joke. Alex Jone's at least bought the exact model and choke of shotgun, and used same shells as Cheney. Then he presented his results to the public, which is more than the "news" media did. Jone's test ain't perfect. He needs hi-res photos of the target hits, and he needs to do the test at 5-yard increments, with 5-foot by 5-foot targets that include human outlines, in order to count the full spread of pellets. Then simply post a table with the number of hits on each target and within each body's outline, for each barrel (it had 2 different choke sizes, and we don't know which one Cheney fired - or both barrels). Without crime scene photos of Whittington with his shirt off, before doctors cleaned him up, and without the medical reports of exact number of wounds and pellets recovered, we're all reduced to making educated guestimates.

At any rate, to not arrest Cheney for this crime, is to let the lead hijacker of 9/11 escape. It's like dropping the winning touchdown pass in the Superbowl. DOH!

Here's video from the 9/11 Commission of Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta (from Lockheed Martin) testifying as eyewitness to Cheney ordering the military to stand down and allow the jet (robotic Boeing A3 Skywarrior) to hit the Pentagon:

The real problem with Jones' test is that the area and concentration of impact is unknown. Since the circle is not on center, but on the edge of whittington, and it is not a perfect circle, it would be hard not to say impossible to judge the actual area of impact. It could have been a nine foot circle with whittington in. It could easily have been an 18 inch to 36 inch circle with whittington in it.

Now I'm not a hunter, so someone else has to fill in here, but is the force of Cheney's weapon known? Can he alter that force with the same gun by altering quanitity or quality of the explosive? There just so much here that would need investigation.

My gut temptation is to side with Ruxton. Logically, if Cheney is standing 15-18 feet from Whittington, and shoots, and the entire shot hits Harry Whittington squarely in the chest and head, it would probably have killed him. A fair amount of shot probably went off to the side.

I think it's pretty clear that Cheney tried to keep a lid on the story, and that that effort may have hurt Mr. Whittington's recovery or increased his scarring and heart risk, and that the Armstrong woman is just plain lying. But, and I say this with not only contempt for the policies of the Vice President, but the feeling that he is really truly an ass, and even as he does it trying to sound magnanimous as he takes responsibility for his actions, Cheney is probably pretty much telling the truth.

People have an aversion to lying. Cheney says "One beer" he probably had more to drink, but it's probably technically true, only one beer was taken by Cheney and drunk start to finish. Even when they are lying to make case for public policy, they seldom lie outright. It's just not human nature to do so. Most people bend the truth, omit things which don't support their case, but don't actually outright lie most of the time.

RUXTON

Thanks to "Pirate" for posting that shot of Whittington. I knew my support of him on another thread would come in handy. Whittington's face shows VERY SIMILAR shot spread to what I got on my water jugs, shot at 30 yards. The patterns on his face PRECISELY reflect the shot spread I got on my water jugs. If I could post a picture I'd do so, but I prefer to wait and do so in the legitimate gun press, which will reach quite a few hundred thousand readers, rather than just a few hundred here. (I've already told Mike Rivero and Jeff Rense about this, but neither has acted on it yet.) If Whittington had been half as close as Cheney (correctly) claimed, the pellet marks on his face would be four times as dense, an easily seen thing. He'd also be dead. The pellet that lodged in the wall of his heart would have gone right through. (It almost certainly didn't "migrate" there, per a lengthy discussion with a doctor. It most likely penetrated the chest wall and lodged in the half-inch-thick wall of the heart, and only the next day or so did it cause enough inflammation to give trouble, much as if you stabbed yourself in the thigh with an icepick. The trouble would start from inflammation the next day or two, not immediately.)

To clarify, for the curious and openminded:

Shot velocity doesn't change with gauge. A 28-gauge gun slings its 3/4-ounce "game load" of shot at essentially the same velocity (about 1200-1300 fps) as a game load out of a 20, or 16, or 12, or 10 gauge gun. To put it another way, it does not matter what the gauge of the gun used was, shot velocity will be essentially identical in all gauges. The amount of shot, 3/4 ounce in this case, and the degree of choke (which has never published for Cheney's gun) are what determine the pellet density on the target. The same amount of shot fired from a larger bore will often give superior PATTERNS, meaning more even distribution of shot throughout its spread. (English gunmakers knew this over a century ago.) But three-quarters of an ounce of shot, whether fired from a .410, 28-gauge, 12-gauge, or what have you, will have essentially the SAME VELOCITY at 30 yards, no matter the gauge gun in which it was fired. The only difference may be in the QUALITY of the patterns.

What many don't understand is that a full-choked 12-bore will have a total spread of that 3/4-ounce of shot essentially IDENTICAL with the total spread of 3/4-ounce of shot from a full-choked 28-gauge barrel. This is hard even for many gun owners to grasp, but it is the simple truth. As noted, the shot will probably be more evenly distributed from the 12-bore, but not necessarily. There is no difference in the total spread between the two, and THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER IN KILLING POWER BETWEEN THE TWO!!

This is another point of general ignorance seen across the Internet, and one which many, if not most, do not understand. When dolts don't understand these things, they say things like:

"Alex Jone's at least bought the exact model and choke of shotgun, and used same shells as Cheney."

This is clear indication of "Joe Shotgun" thinking he knows something about guns, when he doesn't know JACK SHIT. BTW, the CHOKES of Cheney's gun have NEVER been published, nor was the MAKE of Alex Jones' gun published, but we can be quite sure he didn't pop $6000-$8000 for a Perazzi o/u. So this rant by the Pirate is just more CRAPPO from someone who doesn't know anything about guns, but think that if they make lots of noise and waste lots of space, they just might impress someone.

Even if the velocity is increased at the muzzle from hotter loads, say to 1500 fps, the rapid falloff of velocity would find the pellets from the lower-velocity load not much slower than the hotrod at 30 yards. The big difference in shotguns is the amount of shot each can sling. Some 12-bore loads throw as much as 2 ounces of shot, not the 28-gauge's 3/4 ounce. But that's not what I did. I carefully weighed the shot to get 3/4 ounce. And as you now know, it doesn't matter what gauge gun I fired it from.

One more item, boys and girls, for the truly interested: I did lots of shotgun pattern testing last summer. One of my guns, a 12-bore double choked Full and Full, puts ALL of its 1-1/4 ounces of shot -- every damned pellet -- from each barrel INSIDE a 30-inch-diameter circle at FORTY (40) yards.

Claims of 12-foot spreads from a full-choked ANYTHINGs at 30 yards are ENTIRELY BOGUS!

Lol, yeah, no, I wouldn't call them republicans. I'm solidly republican, but in a north east kind of way. I definitely support my corner of the republican party, and am maybe to the right of it, siding sometimes with the southerners, but this doesn't really make me any closer to Bush. I'm not sure Bush is at all republican, but what he gets from it is this christian extremism which is part of the party in Texas, but not around here. Trade/economic issues are extremely important in the NY GOP. I think there are some people in Texas who get this too, Ron Paul et al, but they have a heavy infection of christian looney.

By contrast, the NY Dems official position right now is they want to raise taxes to fund an expansion of state govt. Since we already have the highest taxes in the nation, I think this would be a bad idea. It doesn't effect me personally, but jobs flee NY like rats deserting a sinking ship, and it's all due to our unfavorable tax structure, which was a result of years of Cuomo, who was a real knucklehead, and before that Carrey anoter Dem. Cuomo's basic stance on rural areas was "F^&k 'em, they're probably not going to vote for me anyway."

Nationally, I don't think either party has given us much to like in many years. The GOP needs to duck out of thie Bush thing, andneeds to duck out of thie Bush thing, and needs to duck out of thie Bush thing, and b bneeds to duck out of thie Bush thing, and b b

At first I thought Dream might've been around my age, but (if I'm not mistaken) Dream stated elsewhere that he got his first computer when he was 13. There weren't any PCs around until I was in my 20's, so Dream's probably younger than me, as well -- (see, I can do basic math).

You can generally tell a poster's age by the certainty with which they declare their beliefs. The younger they are, the more certain they are that they're right and everyone else is -- uh, that unseemly body part (I was that way, myself for a lot longer than I'd care to admit).

The older one gets, they will usually discover at some point that the sun doesn't revolve around them and they are occasionally (and in my case -- more often than not) in error.

The more I learn, the more I realize what an idiot I am, and what an even bigger "unseemly body part" I was when I didn't realize it.

A MOST DANGEROUS GAME WITH ELMER CHENEY

"Cheney was half lying across the plain military issue style desk in an apparent drug stupor as Bush talked. Still wearing his hunting coat and hat, Cheney aimed his rifle at me from the desk and threatened, 'Or a-hunting we will go.' Bush finished Cheney's threat by singing, 'We'll catch a fox and put her in a box and lower her in a hole.' Bush looked at Cheney and burst out laughing. The sight of him dressed in his hunting clothes with a huge bore double-barreled shotgun to his shoulder inspired Bush to tell him he 'looked like Elmer Fudd.' Cheney, imitating the cartoon character, said, 'Where is that waskily wabbit?'"

I have a vote and I'm not afraid to use it!

Just out of curiosity I counted the number of pellet-holes I could see in his face and neck (roughly 15). Then ratioing it out (could really only see 1/4 of head) and using body area estimation (below), and accounts of liver and chest penetration but none of arm penetration, he received appx 150 pellets. That roughly dovetails with 200 pellets.

How many pellets are there in a shell?

If I could post a picture I'd do so, but I prefer to wait and do so in the legitimate gun press, which will reach quite a few hundred thousand readers, rather than just a few hundred here. The above photo of Whittington shows over 20 pellets hitting his visible face and upper neck, not counting his hairline or below his collar. The pellets PENETRATED HIS SKULL AND NASAL PASSAGES, as well as his heart and liver. This was probably NOT the center of the pattern of pellets. The most concentrated pellet pattern, and the worst damage, probably is hidden under his shirt, which is also a much larger area. So he could have easily been hit by 100 to 200 pellets in total, out of 250 pellets per shell.

So, Mr Shit-for-Brains. Congrats on finding a job in the Media Mafia For Morons. Dick and George STOLE over $1-BILLION from the taxpayers last year, just to pay BRIBES for pathological lies from the Media Mafia. Not counting Jew "Rush" Limbaugh's $300-million contract (to pay for 100 oxycontin hillbilly heroin pills/day). GAO declared those bribes to be ILLEGAL. Apparently, that's where your paycheck comes from, unless you're paid by drug kingpins laundering scrip.

So you confess to cheating on your "pro" test, by using a 12-gauge instead of a 28. Slick. You certainly are a BS pro. I notice you didn't actually use a chronograph machine to measure the pellet velocities are various distances, nor use an equation to calculate the impact energy at various distances of that size pellets.

You're correct that choke is critical to calculating spread patterns, but I notice you failed to telephone the "police" to ask which choke Cheney's gun had installed, or whether it had adjustable or removable chokes. Cheney's Perazzi serial # is 115228, so the factory would know the choke installed, or if it had removable chokes. Since it's a double barrel, perhaps it has fixed choke, in which case Jones' gun would be very close, since Jones' gun had 2 different chokes to test. If Cheney's had 2 chokes, we would need to know which barrel he fired, or if he fired both barrels. If Cheney's gun had less choke, he could have been standing even closer.

To calculate velocity, we need to know barrel length of Cheney's gun, which can then be mathmatically corrected based on Jones' gun. The longer the barrel, the higher the velocity, since bullets have more time to accellerate. Cheney's Perazzi is sold in 3 choices of barrel length. Velocity also depends on gunpowder weight and total pellet weight, depending on whether it's handloaded or published by the brand name.

Jones did his calculation BEFORE any photos of Whittington were published, and was based on the crappy and defective police report, which FALSELY (?) showed TOTAL DEVASTATION of the victim's neck and chest, which DID indicate he was shot at very close range. Jones merely based his test upon the distance required to inflict the injuries shown in the police report.

Quote:

We used three cameras to film the test, two were fixed at different angles to the targets, the other was used to film Alex shooting the shotgun. In our group we had Raymond, a former NASA contract engineer from the Apollo program with prior service in the Air Force to make sure the measurements were correct. Another in our team was Karl, a former Airborne Infantrymen, M.P., weapons and self-defense instructor, and former law enforcement, to explain the nature of shot trajectory and wound ballistics. And finally there was Ryan and I on the cameras.
www.infowars.com/articles/us/cheney_shooting_scientific_proof.htm

So your attack must be made on the police report, not the Jones Report. Since whittington appeared on TV wearing a necktie - which was a VERY foolish and painful thing to do in his condition - we could not see the most severe injuries to his neck. Nor could we see his chest. His doctors (and lawyers) did not allow him to answer questions, for fear of a heart attack (or arrest for public drunkeness). Nor have we seen photos of his full injuries, nor medical reports counting the number of pellet strikes.

Perazzi 28 gauge has various barrel lengths, which give variable shot velocities. It also has fixed or interchangable chokes. Contrary to the police report, Cheney's lawyers or the media, there's no such gun as a "Perazzi Brescia". Brescia Italy is where the factory is located. Perazzis can be bought for a mere $2,000, with up to perhaps $50,000 for a one-off special, like most manufacturers offer for rich suckers, er, customers. Cheney spends over $250,000 just on his unpaid electric bill for his house in Wyoming. (Since Cheney filed his campaign forms in Texas, he is illegally VP, since prez and VP cannot be from the same state.)

It figures that Jew Cheney refused to buy an American gun, since he doesn't even buy American bullets for his Iraqi War. (US troops and taxpayers buy 250,000 Israeli Jewish bullets to kill each Iraqi Arab/Christian in this 15-year war, which is very odd, since US and British troops are rationed bullets and often go into combat without bullets, body "armor", food nor water, thanks to Haliburton. Some soldiers are not allowed to purchase their own body "armor", are threatened with court martial, or billed for damaged body armor when their arms or legs get bombed off, thanks to Bush & Cheney.)

Police Report

But frankly, a ballistics test is not necessary to ARREST Dick IMMEDIATELY. Dick already confessed on videotape to drunken assault with a firearm. He and Armstrong confessed that Dick drank alcohol before (drinking under a tree), during (driving with an open cooler) and after the shooting (while refusing to speak with police and Whitt was trying to find a hospital). The police admitted Cheney's gang tampered with witnesses and resisted arrest. Done deal, case closed, slam-dunk probable cause for indictment, warrantless arrest or citizen's arrest. PERIOD.

I've hunted since age 8. By age 10, I killed a wild boar, though that was on a "dude ranch" my family owned, with 1,000 boar on a 350-acre farm. By 7th grade, I was required to carry a fully automatic assault rifle to school every day (M-14 .308). But standing in formation in military uniform, and marching with a gun bigger than I, was not exactly "fun", like 9 months of nonstop Boot Camp. In US Air Force, I worked on 30mm, 20mm and 7.62mm gatling guns firing up to 6,000 rounds/minute, air-to-air missiles, 500-lb to 2,000-lb bombs, and nuclear bombs loaded on supersonic F-111 fighter/bombers. And our loving Gangsta Govt had our nukes targeted at WESTERN Europe (instead of targeting our REAL enemies). I currently own an arsenal of combat weapons, and have a concealed-carry permit "license to kill" by justifiable homicide in self defense (actually, every person has a license to kill). I have college education in mechanical engineering and law, so I know how to read a chart and make technical observations, and how to self-litigate in court and WIN. I know which end of a gun to point at a target.

I've filed criminal charges against employees of Gangsta Govt, including getting a 4-star general fired while leading Desert Storm. I've gotten over 100 gangster employees fired from our Skull & Bones city government in Knoxville Tennessee. NOBODY is immune to arrest. Nixon's VP Agnew was arrested WHILE he was VP. Bush Sr illegally arrested President Noriega. Bush Jr illegally arrested "Saddam". This sets legal precedent that arresting a president of USA is just business as usual.

Rue,
There were roughly 262 pellets of #7-1/2 lead shot in Cheney's load. There were 42 pellet strikes on the 9"x6" plastic jug I shot with 3/4-ounce of #7-1/2 shot, and taking into account its smaller area at the neck, it's easy to extrapolate that Whittington could easily have been hit with about 150 pellets.

BOYS AND GIRLS, here's more:
Pape was the first to patent choke-bored guns, which he did in England in 1866. Kimble, in the U.S., also was early with the concept, but the definitive proof of the concept lies with Pape.

"Choke" is a slight constriction of the inside of the muzzle of a shotgun. The effect of this is to improve patterning performance (tighter and/or more-even distribution of the shot), which, as a result, also extend the distance at which the gun can maintain a killing pattern (no holes through which a bird could escape, even though the bird may be within the shot charge). "Full" choke is defined (in most circles) as that degree of constriction that will put 70 percent of the shot charge within a 30-inch diameter circle at a measured 40 yards from the point on which the shooter stands (not measured from the muzzle, note).

One of my Full-choked guns delivers 100-percent patterns. ALL the shot is within that circle at 40 yards.

Just this morning a gunsmith friend asked me what gauge I used for my tests. Another shooting friend phoned me, and when asked how much more densely the shot would strike if the target were half the distance, he replied, "Twice as dense." That is incorrect. The pattern at half the range would be FOUR times as dense, varying with the area of the shot-charge circle, which for simplicity's sake may be considered to travel in a cone shape from muzzle to target. So not only do most laymen know nothing about shotgun power, patterning and performance, neither do many experienced shooters.

I strongly suggest any gun owners who doubt my test results to simply go out and shoot a jug of water, using only 3/4 ounce of #7-1/2 shot, any gauge you want, velocity about 1200 fps, though velocity really doesn't matter much. At a range of 30 yards, give or take a couple, given a full or modified choke, you'll see patterns identical with that seen on Whittington's face. It's just that simple. No more bullshit. Just go do it.

There is no need for calling others names, nor any need by the woefully uninformed to make lame attempts to justify their self-importance. BTW, when a doctor declares there is no need for surgery, yet a certain poster claims Whittington's skull was penetrated, do you believe that doctor or that poster?

Just go shoot a water jug. Observe the pattern density, which will look like Whittington's face if you shoot at 30 yards, and observe the penetration. No more manure. Just go do it.

For those who care, my test results have been published worldwide continuously, beginning about 30 years ago with many stories in the then-one-million circulation "The American Rifleman," magazine of the NRA. This will be my last word on veracity: I really do know what I'm talking about when I write about any sort of firearm. Pirate, Alex Jones, and a host of others do not. Hope you've all enjoyed this little string.

Go shoot water jugs. Do it. No more crap. End of discussion.

I'm not saying Whitt wasn't shot at 90-feet/30-yards, which MIGHT be true judging by his face. I'm saying your test didn't recreate the exact conditions of the drunken assault. You don't even post an image of your results. I've devastated many targets with a shotgun, but that don't excuse me from being scientific about the Cheney case.

I DARE you to publish your "professional" ballistics report, using the parameters I suggested:

(1) oversize paper targets at 10-foot intervals (10' to 100')
(2) 28-gauge shotgun
(3) 7.5 pellets (both lead and other metals)
(4) 3 chokes sizes
(5) velocity measurement (tough to do on a shotgun)
(6) correction chart for various barrel lengths
(7) 3 different gunpowder loads
(8) table of results
(9) photos of each target with sufficient resolution to see individual pellets, with a ruler included in the photo
(10) Hi-res photo of Whittington's head injuries

WHITTINGTON was the one who feared bullets in his skull, as his ER doctors admitted was a possibility, requiring the attention of specialists. Nasal cavities are part of the skull, and are very thin and brittle. Whittington was shot in the face, eyes and nose, where sinus passages are located. If pellets can bypass ribs and reach the heart and liver, they can reach his brain via sinuses. Can an MRI find non-magnetic lead shot? Presumably, an x-ray can see it. That would be an interesting photo...

Mafia hitmen prefer 22-caliber snub-nosed subsonic pistols, firing subsonic "self-silencing" bullets point-blank to the skull, and have no difficulty scrambling brains (Senator RFK shot in back of head by his Mafia bodyguard).

First Doctors to Treat Cheney's Victim Lost in Press Coverage

"They had arranged the HELO-flight before(Whittington) even showed up," Subnani said. "The emergency room doctor had already decided he should be transferred." Subnani said he disagreed with the decision, believing Whittington could have spent the night in Kingsville.

Asked specifically about this, Dr. Martin refused to comment, "I was not going to question(Whittington's) judgment, though," Subnani said. "He was worried about some of the pellets in the sinuses." He added that the Corpus Christi hospital had doctors better able to diagnose such an ear, nose, and throat problem. "They did not think he should stay," Subnani added, "because this hospital was not really equipped for a trauma case."

That is why some reporters have questioned why Whittington was taken by ambulance to this hospital when he could have just as easily been driven to Corpus Christi right away -- or picked up by helicopter at the shooting scene.

Whittington eventually left the first hospital via helicopter at about 7:45 p.m., Subnani recalled. When asked if Whittington's eventual heart attack indicated that Subnani's original diagnoses that the wounds were not severe was wrong, the doctor defended his determination. "At that age (78), we don't know the extent of his coronary situation," he said. "That is hard to predict, what really caused that arrhythmia."

Subnani added that he has not been interviewed by any law enforcement or investigative agents working on the case. "No one has talked to me," he said.

The ER doc is risking lawsuit for medical malpractice, which ER docs are notorious for. MDs murder 2.5-MILLION Americans every year (weblink in my previous post). Whittington is at HIGH risk of infection from the pellets, or iatrogenic (hospital-aquired) infection, not to mention lead poisoning.

When my wife had 4 heart attacks at age 32, the ER docs could find nothing wrong with her. But the cardiologist volunteered to amputate her pacemaker cells, "which I do for young women all the time", he admitted. Instead, she quit drinking aspartame diet soda, quit caffeine, and even quit smoking while her tachycardia slowed down. One toke on a cigarette, or one sip of caffeine, was all it took to start passing out from the heart speeding too fast to absorb oxygen from the lungs. Now she gets antibiotics from a farmer's co-op, or a foreign nation, since US citizens are never allowed the cure for iatrogenic infection from bioweaponized mycobacterium gene-spliced with the HIV virus (perfected in US prisons before Gulf War #1).

"While Cheney pays any hunting fees or lodging expenses if charged, taxpayers invariably pick up much of the cost of Cheney's hunting hobby. As with his predecessors, the government pays for Secret Service agents, military aides and the rest of the entourage that travels with vice presidents wherever they go, as well as the expense of Air Force Two. But it is not clear how much that costs. The budget lists $1 million for the vice president's annual travel, including his official duties, but the figure is rounded to the nearest million, according to the Center for Public Integrity."

Are YOU happy to pay Cheney millions of your taxdollars to go on continual vacations, gettin drunk, snortin coke, smokin smack, huntin' nekked women and raping little girls? Maybe it's worth it to shoot a GOPster lawyer in the head.

Especially since Whittington reportedly arsons his old buildings in Austin TX, to profit from insurance fraud. Arson is a popular pastime for GOPsters in Skull & Bones Knoxville TN, nearly killing my wife in a towering inferno. Have YOU ever run into a towering inferno, and climbed stairs to the top floor? Then get threatened with arrest by the fire chief, for daring to provide investigators with photos catching the confessed arsonists in the act? The chief used ESP to declare it was "accidental arson", since it was 4 hours before the fire was put out. That billionaire Arab contractor for city govt then "accidentally arsoned" its own HQ 6 months later, winning a free brand-new HQ, from the suckers who pay protection money to the insurance rackets.

BTW, my magazine articles on machine guns and bombs, used to kill Bush Gang's Nazi partners, have been published worldwide, including AXPOW Magazine, resulting in a president of US inviting my uncle to the White House to represent all POW/MIAs in WW2, in a televised ceremony.

Excellent observation.

I've found two things which I will add to this, that explains the positions of older people:

1. They have themselves been wrong, and so understand that it is possible to be wrong and yet redeemable.

2. They have had certain cherished beliefs shattered by decades of serious overwhelming proof of wrongness.

3. This helps explain why they are more likely to understand new opposing points of view.

4. This helps to explain their total rejection of particular old points of view, see point 2.

Secret Service says Cheney was DRUNK when he shot lawyer

Written report by SS agents: "inebriated" VP consumed alcohol before, during and after hunting espedition.

Doug Thompson,
Capitol Hill Blue,
February 22 2006.

A written report from Secret Service agents guarding Vice President Dick Cheney when he shot Texas lawyer Harry Whittington on a hunting outing two weeks ago says Cheney was "clearly inebriated" at the time of the shooting.

Agents observed several members of the hunting party, including the Vice President, consuming alcohol before and during the hunting expedition, the report notes, and Cheney exhibited "visible signs" of impairment, including slurred speech and erratic actions, the report said.

According to those who have read the report and talked with others present at the outing, Cheney was drunk when he gunned down his friend and the day-and-a-half delay in allowing Texas law enforcement officials on the ranch where the shooting occurred gave all members of the hunting party time to sober up.

We talked with a number of administration officials who are privy to inside information on the Vice President's shooting "accident" and all admit Secret Service agents and others saw Cheney consume far more than the "one beer' he claimed he drank at lunch earlier that day.

"This was a South Texas hunt," says one White House aide. "Of course there was drinking. There's always drinking. Lots of it."

Cheney has a long history of alcohol abuse, including two convictions of driving under the influence when he was younger. Doctors tell me that someone like Cheney, who is taking blood thinners because of his history of heart attacks, could get legally drunk now after consuming just one drink.

If Cheney was legally drunk at the time of the shooting, he could be guilty of a felony under Texas law and the shooting, ruled an accident by a compliant Kenedy County Sheriff, would be a prosecutable offense.

But we will never know for sure because the owners of the Armstrong Ranch, where the shooting occurred, barred the sheriff's department from the property on the day of the shooting and Kenedy County Sheriff Ramon Salinas III agreed to wait until the next day to send deputies in to talk to those involved.

Sheriff's Captain Charles Kirk says he went to the Armstrong Ranch immediately after the shooting was reported on Saturday, February 11 but both he and a game warden were not allowed on the 50,000-acre property. He called Salinas who told him to forget about it and return to the station.

"I told him don't worry about it. I'll make a call," Salinas said. The sheriff claims he called another deputy who moonlights at the Armstrong ranch, said he was told it was "just an accident" and made the decision to wait until Sunday to investigate.

"We've known these people for years. They are honest and wouldn't call us, telling us a lie," Salinas said.

Like all elected officials in Kenedy County, Salinas owes his job to the backing and financial support of Katherine Armstrong, owner of the ranch and the county's largest employer.

"The Armstrongs rule Kenedy County like a fiefdom," says a former employee.

Secret Service officials also took possession of all tests on Whittington's blood at the hospitals where he was treated for his wounds. When asked if a blood alcohol test had been performed on Whittington, the doctors who treated him at Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial in Corpus Christi or the hospital in Kingsville refused to answer. One admits privately he was ordered by the Secret Service to "never discuss the case with the press."

It's a sure bet that is a private doctor who treated the victim of Cheney's reckless and drunken actions can't talk to the public then the memo that shows the Vice President was drunk as a skunk will never see the light of day.

"There's a report out tonight that 24-years ago I was apprehended in Kennebunkport, Maine, for a DUI. That's an accurate story. I'm not proud of that. I oftentimes said that years ago I made some mistakes. I occasionally drank too much and I did on that night. I was pulled over. I admitted to the policeman that I had been drinking. I paid a fine. And I regret that it happened. But it did. I've learned my lesson."
