I have a vote and I'm not afraid to use it!

What can I say. He really earned his money. When staying at the WH he endured juvenile pranks like wedgies. And when Bush wanted him, he (Bush) would tell his aides to "get laid".

All conspiracy theories aside, remember, if Vince Foster had only had a gun with him he'd be alive today.

Homicide, or anonymous vacation on a deserted island? I want to see the corpse before I believe it. After all, Kenny Boy was Bush Jr's golf partner, and the Bush Gang is expert at faking deaths and keeping the dead alive, like his biz partner Bin Laden.

Coincidence that this is the same week the CIA announced it was closing down its manhunt for Bin Laden, who allegedly released another audiotape last week...?

FREMDFIRMA

You know, interesting that someone would use those words...

Lemme explain - back in the days of the rolling blackouts in California, a certain rather respected member of a certain internet community stumbled quite accidently onto evidence that the companies providing power to CA were not in any way overstrained, and in fact had at least ONE fully functioning and capable plant not even hooked up to the grid.

Further investigation led to the rather expected conclusion that the company was hosing California and others by creating phony shortages to drive up profits, and said member of the community dared point this out.

Only to be ridiculed, shouted down, called a crackpot, a conspiracy theorist, you-name-it.

Only, in retrospect....
EVERY DAMNED BIT OF IT WAS TRUE.
Enron did indeed get caught at that game, far too late to do any realistic good to the folks who got shafted, in part due to the disbelief of folks who, *when presented with hard evidence* simply went into denial.

Imagine how much money and trouble would have been saved if that bollocks-up had been nipped in the bud.

Moral of the Story:
When someone has actual hard evidence, and is making such a claim, it might be wise to at least listen to it.

As for Lay...
Whether natural causes, divine justice, or political convenience doesn't matter at all to me, I sincerely hope he's burning in hell with a window airconditioner right there, that doesn't work cause there's no power for it.

But. But. But. Aw, crap, I'm out of practice. I can't even come up with a decent wide-ranging conspiracy that reaches into every government on earth for this one.

When I first read the headlines I mixed up Ken Starr with Ken Lay. Not sure why, although one was obsessed with sex and the other screwed millions. So maybe that was it. Whatever, it's one less Ken in the world. Which means I'm moving up the seniority list.

Are you saying that Ken Lay was secretly heading the CIA unit in charge of catching Bin Ladden...that's amazing.

I actually feel worse for the thousands of people Enron bilked, who were to get a settlement from Lay / Skilling to at least give them some compensation. Washington Post this morning reported that courts are loathe to inflict punitive damages against someone's estate after their death.

Geezer, for you to have linked wtop, you must live in the area...you, me and Pagan Paul that I know of right now.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Yup, like William Casey who conveniently "died" just before testifying in the Iran-Contra hearings.

BTW- did you know that bin Laden worked to get G Bush re-elected? (Common knowledge in the CIA) Those two use each other to justify their own actions. If one died, the other would wither away.

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

I had several two-word responses when I heard of Lay's death:

1) Woo-Hoo.

2) One down...

and the one that finally won out,

3) MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Now where's that favorite banner of Dubya's, so we can drape Lay's coffin with it?
