Hey, hey, hey, don't be mean. We don't have to be mean, because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

Everything I've heard so far suggests the pinacle of journalism in the US is done by The Daily Show. It seems the truth is only palatable over there when presented as a comedy.

Amazing, considering this is the same country that rebelled in the 60's and got Nixon out of office. From being able to have peace rally's and speak up against your government to censorship and out and out fear mongering in a little over 40 years. Really have come a long way baby.

Guesse Make Love Not War is considered pro-terrorism.

Flame me if you will, I have a right to an opinion. At least up here we still do. We'll have to see where our country goes.

Just on a side note, though I really wasn't a fan of his, I wonder what Lennon would make of all this.

Yea that's pretty pathetic. I don't know if it's more pathetic that they felt printing that story in the US would have negative consequences for them, or that they would have been right. I don't know when it became terrorism to disagree with the government, or heaven forbid criticize the government. I really hope the next president restores my faith in the US government, can we elect clinton again? lol I like him, he gave us some good laughs with his whole sex thing, it was nice.

"Haha, mine is an evil laugh."

Sadly, I think it's typical of what apparently counts for news in this country. What's more important: the Taliban re-taking parts of Afghanistan, or the life and times of celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz? Most Americans appear all too willing to remain woefully ignorant of anything outside the United States, or anything that might distress them in some way. So, Newsweek is responding by covering something that Americans are always willing to buy: SHIT!

Just a clarification, EvilDinosaur, the article on Afghanistan is in the US edition, it's just not on the cover.

So they're idiots, not assholes (or is that the other way around ).

Better than Fox news I guess
