James Brown didn't play music. He didn't make music. He invented it.

Bless his soul as much as he blessed us with his music.

The world has lost a great man.

Rest in peace Mr. Brown.

I used to listen to him on sports radio wfnz 610 am out of Charlotte NC with the packman as a guest. Funny as hell eaten ribs and talken sports. Couldn't understand him sometimes but great guest. He kept it real.

Keep the Shiny side up

I went to see James Brown and his revue at Atlanta Stadium in 1966, with my buddy Al. Out of 40,000+ folks there, we were just about the only white faces. It didn't matter. We were all up and dancing in our seats, even when they played "Say It Out Loud, I'm Black And I'm Proud".

If there is a God, and he has any soul, the Heavenly Choir is gonna have a lot more funk from now on.

Anyone thought about trying to revive him by draping a cape over his coffin?
