Coming out of lurker mode to note something that might be interesting, considering the support he has on RWED. It's likely a technical glitch (or a bunch of Democrats being smartasses, hehe) on the ABC website, but it looks as if Paul won this morning's 'debate' by more than 20,000 poll votes.

A glitch, a prank....call it what you will. No way he won that, or any debate.

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

Are you still talking about the debate or the last two Presidential Elections?

There's only 40,000 votes on the poll; all it takes is one organized team supporting a candidate, and you have 20,000 votes. It's probably a group that supports Dr. Paul and noticed the poll.

Its wierd. He wins every debate and yet in polls he never breaks 1%. Why, with margin of error he's probably in negative numbers. I think he or his illigal Mexican servants are just really good at getting on the internet and messing with poll results.

Watch the debate. Dr. Paul's message got an aweful lot of applause. The poll was not, "Who's the most electable?" or "Who would you vote for?" The poll asked "Who won the debate?" Watch the debate.

Or just continue on safe in the comfort in knowing that what happens on the internet doesn't count and never will.

Hey, hey, hey, don't be mean. We don't have to be mean, because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

Right on...of course! They are actually teaching that as fact now in schools I hear. All school children in public schools must learn by the time they're six that if Democrats win an election you can rest assured that is was legal, accurate, and honest; but if a Republican wins an election you MUST assume fraud and cheating. Come to think of it, that statement could actually become the new Pledge of Allegiance....works perfectly...no awful reference to God, and it gets all the young'ens on board early to vote the Democrat way. Jeeesh...who said politics & social engineering were complicated?

I think he comes off as very earnest, and in a world where we expect politicos to spin everything that's very refreshing. I can see how enough people would be impressed enough to say he won the debate, and as has been said getting enough people is rediculously easy in an internet poll.

The reason this isn't translating into more than 1% nationally is that outside of the debates he's not getting a lot of media exposure. My guess is that what numbers he does poll nationally probably got a bigger boost from the Colbert Report than from the national debate.

I don't think he's electable, but I do think that he's honest and believes what he says. I don't have to play "filter the BS" with him.

Even though I disagree with some of the things he says I still think he has a valid point of view that should form part of the spectrum of debate. I think having ideas out there that challenge the conventional wisdom strengthens our democracy. The moment we have no disagreements we're in trouble.

Hard for you to stay on topic, huh? That's telling of oh so many things.

i watched yesterdays debate, and i wouldn't necessarily hand the 'victory' over to Ron either... although i suspect for different reasons. listen, you are a pretty intelligent guy, but you're no more objective then the phantom liberals that occupy your tunnel vision. you Neocons refuse to admit that Ron consistently scores higher then your preselected media darlings Romney or Guiliani... so why is that? i know you all are not too stupid to operate telephones. will you acknowledge that a 'fluke' by definition cannot happen 3 times in a row?

i think you are underestimating the amount of young, new and previously non-practicing voters, who have taken to the RP campaign(helping him surpass even McCains funding). these people are not typically polled, and they have created a buzz for him unlike any of the others. this makes him a wild card

you should already know that the establishment media has an agenda, which is global government (call it 'liberal' if you want), so why wont you notice which candidates they are promoting? Giuliani, Romney, Hillary, Obama... youd think their were only 3 or 4 republicans and democrats running if you didn't know any better. what is their single unifying trait? same warhawk foreign policy, meanwhile no challenge to our criminal monetary system. do you wonder why they receive the big donations? meanwhile Ron is thoroughly omitted from the mainstream political discussions, and was again successfully marginalized during this recent debate. hes the only one opposed to our fraudulent monetary system(the Fed), and our current policies of unjustifiable perpetual warfare.. these are the real reasons whys the elite, behind the media, are against him

is that the best you have? this coming from someone who'll defend Bush like his own mother. the Bush family, who have occupied sectors of the white house for the last 40 years, are the most traitorous and criminal people to ever hold office(starting with Prescott Bush, the Nazi money launderer). did you forget that Bush wanted amnesty? at least Ron Paul would secure our borders

He would also shrink the size of government and return some of our stolen liberties...Hmmm, sounds like he's a conservative.....why do so called conservatives raise their noses at him? Could it be he opposes the war? So, being a republican no longer means that you want limited government, secure borders, lower taxes etc....to be considered a Republican you only need to want war...wow!! Not my grandfather's Republican party anymore.....

Easy - the kook fringe, both on the Left and the Right, vote en mass for Ron. This is going to scew the results wildly from what they really are/ will be come primary day.

Woooo..surpassing McCain? Who the hell cares about McCain anymore ? No one, not as a serious contender. This isn't 2000. His 'straight talk express' derailed long ago with most conservatives, much of it having to do w/ McCain/Fiendgold.

Ron is omitted because he's a loon who doesn't get much support from the public, that's why. Of course, for those who believe the world is run by the Builderburgers, or the Burgerbuilders, the Illuminati, or what ever the hell it is you fear when things go bump in the night, Ron is the guy for you.

Good luck w/ that.

remind me.. Bush's poll ratings are what again? what is congress' approval rating? yeah.. we'll see. i hope Ron wipes that shit eating grin off all your faces

well who do you consider a "serious contender"? i'm guessing it'll be one of the media chosen manchurian candidates

is it that hes never voted to raise taxes? that he voted against the war and the patriot act? is it because it wants to abolish the IRS, HLS, DoE.. take your pick? or is it because he promises to uphold the constitution above anything else? i dare you to make a comparative argument for any one of those other ego-maniacs

when you learn the truth, its hard to bury your head in the sand. maybe one day you'll understand that criminals exist within our government too; then i pray you'll do something about it, rather then aid them
