"Wrong-thinking in regarda to their "gate-crashing" mentality, their refusal to allow the Repubs to have their debate without interference from Dems with an agenda."

Gate-crashing ? Are you still maintianing that democrats had no right to submit questions ? Or that CNN had no right to air them ? Because the rules were clear and consistent for both debates - anyone could submit questions and have them aired. The debates were NOT a private party, an idea you mistakenly cling to.

You know Jong - the repubicans have been running the country on their own for almost 8 years, with control of the House Senate, White House and in the last few years the Supreme Court.

There is a lot that can be laid directly at their feet; they have a LOT to answer for to the American people. The Iraq war, the economy, torture - and paradoxically conservative Christianity in government institutions, intolerance, and so on.

Can you think of any questions that should have been asked that wouldn't embarrass the candidates ?

Though frankly, I think they've done a good enough job embarrassing themselves.

BDN, you actually read the posts, or just chiming in to be an ass ?

I posted a rather ruthless, no nonsense tactical doctrine for addressing the problem at hand, and put a good bit of thought, time and effort into it besides - he didn't wanna hear it, cause apparently, as is oft the case with these spouters, they really don't care, it's just an excuse to spew racial and ideological hatreds.

Followed by his own admission to not wanna discuss it whatever, cause apparently he can't handle that, or doesn't want his little plastic bubble impinged upon by anything like rational argument, or whatever other reason.

So I suggested that if he has no interest in discusssing the problem, then maybe he shouldn't BE discussing it - and yes, I used a very hostile form of sayin it, cause if you wanna spew that shite and NOT have it addressed by the folks yer spouting it at, go BACK to Stormfront and do it, not here.

Comin from me, that's a suggestion, and given the foulness spouted by folk here in the direction of anyone who doesn't believe as they do, it was in comparison, downright polite.

Oh, and Anthony - How exactly do you expect me to respond to someone who comes here, more often than not spouting hate and racism, who by their own admission has no interest in actually discussing anything, just (in my opinion) vandalising the place with hateful filth ?

There's nothing TO discuss, they don't wanna discussion, don't even really give a damn about solving the issues they bitch about...

I think that deserves a kick in the teeth, and so I delivered one.

Blind fanatic hate is one of the things I consider a free-fire zone for levelling insult, and I've been more than patient with this kid for quite a while now.

No I don't, but in this instance I feel it was a tactical and planned attempt aimed at potentially embarrassing the Repubs...especially when some of these folks went on You TUbe that night wearing their Edwards and Obama campaign tee shirts and gloated and mocked the whole thing. I can just imagine the medias reaction, your own reaction etc, if Republican plants got in questions to Hillary about...let's say her history of dealing with Bill's alleged sexual predatory escapades....how she feels about all those women who accused Bill of sexual harassments, and her staunch denials, blaming Right Wing Conspiracy etc, her actual enabling of Bill to continue for decades his wicked way...ya think there wouldn't be an enormous outcry from Dems and the mainstream media?

Rue...Republicans in the last 8 years have made more mistakes than I think all previous administrations in the past combined. There is no doubt that America is weaker because of them. The Bush cabal that included Rummy the dummy, and Cheney the angry grunter, has pissed me off enough for the rest of my life. Throw in the sex scandals, and all the other happy horse doody scandals, and our country is in a bad bad way. Hillary / Obama / Edwards, however are not the leaders to get us back to where we need to be in my opinion. Their policies scare the crap outta me. There needs to be something in-between...and not Ron Paul for Christ sakes either. I'd take Kerry/Liebermann back in a minute.

"tactical and planned attempt"

Planned by whom ? With one (marginal) exception (Kerr), all of the so-called plants were unaffiliated with any campaign. They were and are private citizens who had every right to participate in the process. And since there was at least one genuine 'republican' plant in the democratic debate, if there is a plan, it seems to be deviously targeting both parties.

"gloated and mocked the whole thing"

Didn't democrats answer questions from a snowman ? And a republican plant ?

"her history of dealing with Bill's alleged sexual predatory escapades"

If Clinton (either one) had politicaly alligned themselves with a group claiming religious morality in marriage it would be a legitimate question. Since many of the repubicans have tried to politically align themsleves with religious conservatives (the base) for political gain, asking them about the role of religion in their lives and in their politics are legitimate political questions.
But in reality the questions to the repubicans - from anyone - were nothing like what you posit as an example.
Hence - no outcry.

***************************************************************
The republicans simply embarrassed themselves. They didn't need or get any help from any so-called plan. Get over it and move on.

And as usual with these hate spewing racists, it was all a lie, a faery tale, from the very start.

http://www.suntimes.com/news/world/678162,teddy120307.article

From the facts at hand it seems naught more than a cultural misstep played upon (and in both directions, seeing the behavior here) by racist and theological fanatics, while the adults handled it peaceably and diplomatically and resolved it.

Of course, that doesn't make the fanatics on either side any less dickheaded, but my position on dealin with that is posted above, and I don't particularly care which brand someone uses it on, ours OR theirs.

World's better off without em anyhow.

Islamic Sudan's President had a decision to make...plain & simple :

(A) Keep this woman in jail and risk funding cuts from the West....OR
(B) Let her go free, and then the country can go back to the status quo...after all what's the fun of detaining or whipping an old lady? They've got an endless supply of sweet young Christian and Animist girls they can rape and torture any old time they like. And the best part is they can do it right in front of UN Peacekeeper's noses without fear of anything happening to them. Forced conversion to Islam is great sport for these rapists & murderers.
