Well, so much for Obama's hopes for the White House!

Quote:

...[CHICAGO - In his first major public address since a cancer crisis, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said Sunday that presidential candidate Barack Obama is the "hope of the entire world" that the U.S. will change for the better.

If there was one endorsement out there that Obama didn't need, I'd say this was it.

PHOENIXROSE

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Oh goodness, yes, because the last thing we need is a leader that the Nation of Islam might respect. Respect certainly won't stop anyone from wanting to shoot us. Nope, nope!

No, what we need is a woman who would scold a grown man like he was ten, insult the experience and intelligence of a Harvard lawyer who fought for civil rights and ethic reform in the court and the Senate, and spread any vicious rumor possible relating to Islam to make sure she can win, and damn the consequences of how the rest of the world might see her later on. Brilliant.

Oh wait. He's still managing to pull steadily ahead, isn't he? Maybe people are tired of fearmongering and mudslinging after all.

You may say I'm a dreamer. But I'm not the only one.

ROFL I assume you think I'm supporting Clinton? NOT if Summer herself showed up at my door, naked, asking me too. And that's saying a lot.

There is no way I'd vote for either! As for the "Nation of Islam"? No, I don't want anyone in office he respects.

All he respects is bigotry and violence.

JONGSSTRAW

Obama denounced Farrakhan last nite and hopefully put an end to any doubts of how he feels about him. I wonder if people generally know that Obama was President of Harvard Law Review. That position usually goes to someone exceptionally intelligent and adaptable.

** and as a side note....Kudos to MSNBC debate moderators Tim Russert & Brian Williams. Man, they really asked some straight-forward tough questions...some of the questions even made me cringe a little with the subject matter and tone. I thought both Hillary & Obama did an admirable job answering all the tough questions. I would never have expected it to be as tough on them as it was.

ANTIMASON

i intend to just vote my conscience and write in Ron Paul if i have to. McCain does not deserve my endorsement, nor do either of the socialists. Obama, while obviously a collectivist at heart, -seems- to have some kind of conscience and empathy, if misguided and ideologically flawed. theyre both CFR members though, and theyre getting the same money donors. Hillary may be slightly more conservative then Obama, which is a plus, but the CLinton name, and connections, and history alone should have excluded her from the race; SHES DIRTY MONEY!! but Obama is out there... its so hard to say

I didn't catch the interview, but I know Russert is usually pretty tough on candidates, asking tough questions, and with an 'I expect an answer' attitude. lol.

I never really figured Obama was in with Fera-CON, myself. But there's no denying that the endorsement could hurt his campaign.
