That has jack and shit to do with most issues. It's not a "Get out of tough questions" free card. And what the hell do Carter and Kennedy have to do with McCain's favoirte dodge anyway? You can go away, thanks. "I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him."

That's not his responce to everything, B.O.'s claim to fame is that he gives a great speech, WOW! McCain is a war hero, and long time Senator. McCain's VP pick has more experiance than B.O.

That's not his responce to everything, B.O.'s claim to fame is that he gives a great speech, WOW! McCain is a war hero, and long time Senator. McCain's VP pick has more experiance than B.O. But we weren't talking about experience. At this point, the experience argument means jack shit. Especially since it's been proven that there is no correlation between experience and sucess as President. Nor were we discussing Obama's public speaking skills. Try to remember your own topic - makes it easier for people to understand you, ya know? You were saying he gets to ride on his POW years any time he wants, without critisism (remember, just 3 posts up??). I disagree - strongly. It's admirable that he survived such an ordeal. But it's sad and kind-of pathetic that he, and some people, think that it automatically makes him qualified for the office. I know a former Vietnam POW's. Should I be supporting them for President - or more to the point, given your take on McCain - shouldn't you? I mean, set aside the fact that he is a rageing alcoholic who beats his wife - he's a POW, does he deserve to use that as a catch-all defense? Fuck no. "I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him."

I'll admit I have'nt heard that he beats his wife, you better make sure that's true, or you'll end up making an ass you're of you're self. This campain will get ugly, but if you're going there, you better be able to prove it.

Please post cites that back up your assertion that McCain uses his ex-POW status to get out of any uncomfotable question.

I didn't say McCain was a wife-beating alcoholic - I said the POW I know is - and asked if he gets a pass for being a POW. You really are bad at this, aren't you.... How about the 2-or-3 times he has, on air, used it to get out of the "How many houses" question. Did it on Leno last week.

That's one uncomfortable question (on a late night talk show which was meant to elicit a laugh). Are there any more or were you hyperbolizing just a touch?

And guess what - it is a FACT. The guy I know (who isn't McCain - I don't want to confuse you yet again) is a wife-beating alcoholic. Christ, did you drop out in 5th grade or something? Had I known I was dealing with someone with such low comprehension skills, I would have used shorter, simpler sentences. Sorry, my bad. Next time, I'll run my posts by a child, just to make sure you'll be able to follow. But yes, you are done, since even the most basic statement, even after being explained - is still quite clearly over your head. "I thoroughly disapprove of duels. WhoseZit, you really ARE the board retard, you know that? Your reading comprehension skills sit at somewhere between a third grader's and a soap dish's - but at least the soap dish is TRYING...
