Quote: http://www.newstatesman.com/north-america/2008/09/republican-convention-jon-paul Going back inside, I spotted a young guy with a beard and a trendy hat; he looked like he should be a famous indie musician so I was curious how he had ended up at the RNC media circus. It turned out he was a guest Republican blogger and a serious ‘winger’. He supported Rudy Guliani because he “would be further to right than Bush on the Bush Doctrine. I want to take the terrorists and kill every single one of them,” he assured me. He laid into the Iranian President who he called “Armaggedonijan” and said the time for a military strike on the “Islamo-fascist state” was imminent. He was firmly for John McCain, which gives an indication of what the Republican Presidential Candidate is expected to do by some of his fans should he win in November.

Seems he didn't like us proving him wrong. You two would be fast friends. SergeantX "Dream a little dream or you can live a little dream. The whole Republican party is far right, and Regan was a supporter and sympathiser of terrorism. If that's great presidential material by your yard stick, more power to ya .

Quote: You really have no clue of what you speak, Citizen. Your ignorance of the differences between the Country Club Republicans, the Religious Right and the true Conservatives is obvious, as you falsly feel the need to group them all into one big pile. Reagan was a proponent of Freedom, not terrorism. And yes, he's my measuring stick.

Right back atcha, champ - your ignorance of the differences between varous camps of liberalism and Democratic party members is obvious, as you falsely feel the need to group them all into one big pile and call them "terrorist lovers". Who was it Reagan supported in Afghanistan? What were they called? Mike

Quote:Originally posted by AURaptor: So, I do put them all in the same pile, but not ALL ?? Seriously, look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself....why is it that the VP candidate for the Democratic party from just 8 yrs ago, is now speaking at the GOP convention? It's because the DNC has taken a humongous Left turn, away from Joe Lieberman.
