Oprah will not invite Sarah Palin on her TV show, her staff is divided, who cares rite? Well since Matt Drudge started reporting this it seems alot of people do. Go to www.drudgereport.com/flash3os.htm It's Oprahs show and she can have on who ever she wants "BUT"! Most of her viewers are women, Sarah Palin is a woman, "BUT"! Oprah is a B.O. supporter who she's had on twice. All Drudge has done is point all this out, will this damage her street creds with her mostly female veiwers, or is Drudge making somthing out of nothing?

Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

If Oprah was a news source, she might be obligated to give equal air time to the various candidates. (Not that real news sources do, but it would be the ideal.)

But Oprah is not a news source. She is an entertainment provider. She has no obligation to host anyone she doesn't want to host. Her singular obligation is to keep ratings high, and she is the only person who suffers if she fails. (Well, maybe her staff, too.)

Oprah has been in this business long enough to know what's good for her show.

Personally, I'd rather see Palin on the Daily Show or Colbert Report.

Of course, you fail to mention that the two times Obama appeared on Oprah's show, both were prior to his announcement of his canidacy. Once in September 2005, and again in October 2006.

Maybe if Palin was to drop her candidacy, she'd be invited on...

Oprah has stated that she won't have ANY of the candidates on while the race is still under way.

Meanwhile, O'Reilly had Obama on - maybe McCain and/or Palin would agree to appear on Countdown with Keith Olbermann? I won't hold my breath.
