Sarah Palin can see Ruskies or McCain or Lisa McClain the Hantz Group

We know many California movie stars lean liberal and might be going Jobama? Or Obiden? next election
I was reading this article today

Going back inside, I spotted a young guy with a beard and a trendy hat; he looked like he should be a famous indie musician so I was curious how he had ended up at the RNC media circus. It turned out he was a guest Republican blogger and a serious ‘winger’. He supported Rudy Guliani because he “would be further to right than Bush on the Bush Doctrine. I want to take the terrorists and kill every single one of them,” he assured me.

He laid into the Iranian President who he called “Armaggedonijan” and said the time for a military strike on the “Islamo-fascist state” was imminent. He was firmly for John McCain, which gives an indication of what the Republican Presidential Candidate is expected to do by some of his fans should he win in November.

and started wonder what high profile people apart from Oil company execs and military contractors would be voting Republican
Here's a few to start you off
Adam Baldwin (yes The Adam Baldwin who played Jane)
Stephen Baldwin
Dean Cain
Clint Eastwood
Mary Carey
Alice Cooper
Mimi Miyagi
Denzel Washington
Dr Phil
Kelsey Grammer
Adam Sandler
Kid Rock
Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris
Jessica Simpson
LL Cool J
Tom Clancy

So who are the other Republican celebs, rockstars out there?

Hehe....

I'm always a bit bemused by the way people take political cues from actors and musicians...

Adam - I've heard folks whisper about his politics, but I've never spent time finding exactly where he stands. I gathered it was toward the right, but w/ the Hollywood crowd, it's hard to say what that really means.

Stephen - Saw him on Fox n Friends this week. He's just finished his 1st novel. Interesting guy, Stephen. Loved his role in The Usual Suspects. CLASSIC flick. Hard to believe he and Alec are so far apart, politically.

Surprises on the list ( for me ) are :

LL Cool J
Denzel Washington
Dr. Phil
Adam Sandler

Are we certain all these folks are voting McCain? Just curious.

There's one I KNOW you missed, who'll be voting GOP -

We used to spar with him on the OB on a regular basis, 'til he got mad and quit. Seems he didn't like us proving him wrong. You two would be fast friends.

You really have no clue of what you speak, Citizen. Your ignorance of the differences between the Country Club Republicans, the Religious Right and the true Conservatives is obvious, as you falsly feel the need to group them all into one big pile. Reagan was a proponent of Freedom, not terrorism. And yes, he's my measuring stick.

First, you falsly assume I put ALL Dems into the same pile. I meant no such thing. Joe Liebermann, ( yeah, he's a Dem ) never wanted us to lose. Those who did want us to lose in Iraq/ Afghanistan are, imo, terrorist lovers.

Reagan supported those who wanted to repell the Soviet expansion. You might want to rent Charlie Wilson's War , if you have a problem remembering what that fuss was all about.

I have a clue of what I'm talking about, I just don't buy into your data filters, and I don't agree with you. It's time you learnt that there aren't two types of people in the world, people who agree with you, and people who don't know what they're talking about. Simply put, AU, you aren't the most intelligent person who ever lived, you're not god, and your opinion isn't fact. It gets boring to hear you say time after time, that you've provided facts that prove everyone wrong, when all you done is stated your own opinion.

At any rate. Regan supported the Taliban and groups that became Al Qaeda, you can start bitching about the evil empire all you want, but it doesn't make them any less terrorists. It's fun for you to display compartmentalised thinking yet again, but I'm not going to buy into it. Regan's economic policy was bullshit, and it's cemented a growing inequality within American society.

As for not knowing the difference between different types of Republicans? I think I manage to get a more accurate picture than you do. As an outsider I have no particular emotional investment in your political system, but in this age of globalisation, and instantaneous global data exchange I have the same access to sources that you do. The Republican party has steadily moved further toward the far right as it's base doctrine over the last thirty years. Republican Moderates and 'real conservatives' are well on the fringe of the Republican party, at best. It's becoming increasingly dominated by far right and evangelical thinking. Sarah Palin that you keep parading around as a "real American" has evangelical connections, and she believes creationism has a place in science class. That is the central hypocrisy within your own position, you rightly proclaim that Intelligent Design is bunk, that creationism isn't science and shouldn't be taught as such, then promptly refuse to see that in the Republican Vice Presidential candidate who embodies it so nicely. Time and again you refuse to see the slightest fault or failure in the Republican party, it's like they're gods among men to you. Hell, one reason I hope to see Obama win, is so that I can see one of the most pro-Government members of this forum turn anti-government faster than one of PirateNews's mood swings.

If you truly wanted to stop the rise of home grown Christian Fundamentalism, if you really wanted to oppose Creationist 'Science', you wouldn't be blindly following the Republican party like a happy little true believer. You'd be questioning the Republicans at least half as much as you do the Democrats, you wouldn't be sticking your fingers in your ears and proclaiming anyone who disagrees with you is ignorant and stupid. For all your anti-fundamentalist talk you exhibit the behaviours of a fundamentalist in spades, it's just your religion happens to be the Republican Party.

If you've read this far without skipping a word, you probably need absolution. Say three Hail Bushes and kneel before the alter or Rove, and all questions will be absolved.

So, I do put them all in the same pile, but not ALL ?? Seriously, look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself....why is it that the VP candidate for the Democratic party from just 8 yrs ago, is now speaking at the GOP convention? It's because the DNC has taken a humongous Left turn, away from Joe Lieberman.

Or maybe he's a self serving politician who has realised that the shadowy liberal uber conspiracy is so true that Republicans have gained the upper hand, and use the 'shadowy liberal uber conspiracy' lie to keep it. So he's got a better chance of being elected as a member of the quite unshadowy and obvious but somehow secret Republican conspiracy.
