Every time he uses the word, in my mind, I see Kirk giving Bush a lecture on how he has slurred the meaning of the word.

"In all that lies before us, may God grant us wisdom, and may He watch over the United States of America."

Plus, it's highly unlikely that God would have a sex, or the ability to 'grant' us with something it did not see fit to include as standard equipment.

My government has tried to lead us down the dark path in the name of good reason. I hope, like Luke did, we can break away from it.
