Democrats flew him in there to have a "Prominent Part" but proved he was just an empty suit. Read page 2, why did here bother showing up?

Originally by Politico.com: House Republicans felt trapped—squeezed by Treasury, House Democrats and a bipartisan coalition in the Senate. And while McCain spoke surprisingly little after asking for the meeting, he conceded that it appeared there were not the votes for the core Paulson plan without major changes.
"I will defer to my more learned collegues" was the limit of McCain's participation in the political campaign serving grandstanding McCain and Bush insisted on wasting the committee member's valuable time with. It only helped the press and Obama in the end...the irony.

But I don't get why you hate Obama for this?

This mess is being solved by the Financial Services Committee, the Fed, the SEC, and Congress. Obama asked relevant and coherant questions of committee members and Paulson. McCain didn't say anything usefull, nor did he make any attempts to understand, and exerted none of the leadership he went to Washington to display. In light of this "why did he bother showing up?" is an extremely fair question...why hate anyone for asking that?

Hate the game...

It's not their huge brains that intimidate me, it's their brilliant literary skills. They can be spouting stupid crap and sound like a genius. I can be correct on an issue and sound like a total moron.

Is that the same as when you write lyrics to a song, and they're stupid and corny, but if you put them to country music they don't sound as stupid and corny?

But thanks for saying I sound like a genius. You know I can't take credit for anything though because the journalists tied up in my closet have an abundant source of retarded crap to write about in the McBush/RovePalin ticket.

And yes, it is my goal...to make men feel unlike men, and like totaly inferior to other men, by baffling them with college boy fancy pants talkin' and cipherin' too.

DEADLOCKVICTIM

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

bye brad

Why?...was Travolta nominated for Best Actor instead of Sam Jackson for that picture? makes no sense! Okay I'm off topic, but I hope Whozit doesn't think I was rude!

It's a well know fact, Travolta can't act

Kirk...

Dude, don't never let that stop you - being articulate is a fine weapon, but no substitute for having a decent argument, and while others may or may not share my interest, I wanna know even if that means being subjected to a half page rant that would make an english teacher cry in misery and barely carries it's point coherently...

Than one liners and clipped talking points no matter how in agreement with them someone is.

That goes for you too, Whozit - I don't wanna hear it just from someone you agree with, I wanna hear it from YOU, what YOU think, how YOU feel about it, even if it's not articulate, even if it doesn't sound like a goddamn valedictorian acceptance speech, even if it's a barely coherent profanity laden rant, I wanna hear it, and I wanna hear it from YOU.

We all already know what all the pundits think, I wanna know what YOU think.

Why do you think I often result to a gutter patois mishmash of prohibition-era gangster-ese combined with taxi pusher trashtalk ?

Cause sometimes that's the only way I can properly verbalise what's on my mind, even if it ain't all that damn articulate, it gets the point across dunnit ?

So pull up notepad and have at it, cause to borrow a phrase that's accurate no matter how trite..
"enquiring minds want to know".

It cannot be said enough, those who do not learn from history, are doomed to endlessly repeat it
