Quote:Biden guilty of abuse of power -- steps down An official investigation has concluded that indeed, Joe Biden did illegally abuse his power as a United States Senator to have his brother's ex-wife fired from her position in the Justice Department. Biden is expected to step down immediately and a new choice for Obama's VP will commence immmediately. The media firestorm is in its predictable full-swing. The scandal is the top news story on every news site in America, with every pundit is predicting the end of Obama's campaign, as this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that his judgment is seriously, perhaps fatally, flawed. Obama scheduled a news conference for 6 p.m. this evening in a desperate attempt at damage control. Why Obama would even choose someone under investigation was barely mentioned in the press when Biden was picked. A few people whispered about it, but for some reason the media gave him a pass on it at the time -- perhaps they assumed he had inside information that exonerated Biden and Obama's team just wasn't worried about it. But today all hell broke loose in the media when the report was released that stated, indeed, that Biden's conduct was unlawful. What seems to be drawing the most outrage, and downright ridicule, is how Biden is actually claiming that the report somehow clears him of wrongdoing! This is such an obvious refutation of the facts that people are simply stunned. Jack Cafferty just stared at the camera for five full seconds, mouthing the words "WHAT THE FUCK" several times for everyone to see. Indeed, how stupid does Biden think the American public is? And how can he possibly lie to the media's fact like that and expect to get away with it? It's very sad, how the campaign is going down in flames over this. But let's face it, Obama should have known better. His choice of Biden was an obvious political ploy to get "the base" on board and so they'd open up their pocketbooks to his campaign and the party. I'd have to say this shows that the media is truly impartial and is doing an excellent job. After all, to have a Vice Presidential candidate found guilty of unlawfully abusing his or her power is a serious matter, and one which should immediately disqualify him or her from consideration. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/10/12/17140/532/960/628557

I'm glad he dragged my butt out of bed early, early autumn mornings to hunt ducks with him before cross-country running practice. He taught me to bag a caribou, fillet a fish, dig buckets of darns, and find the plumpest blueberries. He wouldn't put up with my wimpy reasons why I couldn't thaw frozen fish egg bait in my mouth, like he does, when ice fishing. But he did understand when I looked up at him quizzically once upon his request to "please hold those" while he searched for something to put our freshly butchered moose's eyeballs in so his students could observe them later that day. He graciously understood, and I didn't have to hold those ungulate's warm parts that morning in the alders." She killed Bullwinkle...
