Actually, he did. He was a member of a right wing extremist group called the "U.S. Council for World Freedom" that illegally funneled weapons to Nicaraguan death squads during Iran-Contra. Not only was he a member and supporter, his name appeared on their official letterhead. So, yeah, McCain was a member of a terrorist group. But the "liberal media" doesn't seem too interested in that story...
