--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm with you Jong, but they'd have to be educated first before they could be re-educated. They think facts are the things they all come up with in the endless liberal circle jerks that go on around here. They wouldn't know a fact if it was delivered to them on a stone tablet by their savior Barack Obama. It seems pretty pointless even trying to discuss facts with them they don't understand the concept, but they do seem to understand a properly placed go fuck yourself.

KIRKULES : Thanks for the support. I really could have used some yesterday, as every single punk-ass little shit of a Liberal retard came out of their gay bath house stall to chime in on my ass. It was kind fun for a while, but it takes too much time to respond to all their vile nastiness against me and my opinions. I'm not responding to the expected madness this post will generate. They're not worth my time. I have no desire, like these desperate idiots do to hurl direct insults 24 hours a day. This is not my life. I post my general feelings and then get stomped on like a fire in Bill Clinton's pants or something. People like Rue, Kwikko, and many others are dis-honest spinners and liars and elitist-wannabees, and they all make me wanna vomit. You're one of the few here that gets anything Kirk. This site is full of the most vile and despicable obtuse liberal cocksucking jerkoffs I've ever seen. They attack in packs like crazed fucking wolves because they can. It's like The View or Bill Maher...3 or 4 insane ranting screeching dumb-ass Liberals against one quiet respectable Reupublican who they NEVER let speak a full sentence. That's how they like it. That's their idea of fairness. They're the lowest of the low, the sleaziest of the sleaze. They try to drive away Republicans and Conservatives with their insults and personal attacks. They mirror the mainstream media exactly...total asshole ideologues with no fucking clue about anything. Actually, it's their fucking smarmy smugness that I find most appalling. Arrogant Ignorance is what I call it. They all seem like sad, bitter, miserable losers in life, fucking complaining all the time, fucking whining all the time like little pussy-whipped pathetic jerks, but they insist they are right about everything. They lie, distort, and do everything they can to make the most absurd points they can, and if they can insult you in the process they take great glee at that. I say fuck em. I know that McCain will win the election. I know it because America will never elect a far-left radical socialist with no experience other than teaching and funding Vote Stealers ACORN. Obama is going down big time in the next 11 days I assure you. The smug, over-confident Traitor Dems don't even see it coming...they haven't a fucking clue. They think Obama already won and they're making their party plans now. They don't understand the dynamics in play. They don't understand the historical outcomes of these final days.
Thanks Kirk for your efforts here, as well as Hero and Geezer, and a few others. Funny how newbie Liberal psychopath idiots that come here are welcomed under mother Rue's chicken wings, and become part of her flock of her cackling little bitches. There...I don't believe I've left anything unsaid. Take care Kirk.

I understand your feelings regarding the pointlessness of posting as a Conservative around here. If it wasn't for the masochistic side of me I'd have been gone a long time ago. I think you underestimate the effectiveness of your posts, there's plenty of Conservatives out there lurking who applaud your words but see posting in this environment as pointless.

You will be missed by many during your short absence, but I look forward to reading your posts again after the election.

DEADLOCKVICTIM

Dear Jongsstraw,

I don't expect a response to this, in fact, I would prefer that you not, but I felt obligated as a fellow human being to respond to your post. First, I just want to say that I realize that things got a little tough for you yesterday and some of us piled on - (i'm only speaking for myself here) - but believe me, I know the feeling. I live in a very conservative area and my ideas are shot down faster than 10 point bucks on opening day.

I want you to understand something - It has been so long that I was on the winning side of just about anything - especially politics, that when I see even a glimmer of hope that there could be a change in the direction in this country from the previous eight years, I do get a little caught up in the euphoria of the the moment. And by change I mean a, (IMO), more reasonable and intelligent approach to the polices that affect us all.

I know you disagree with me just as much as I disagree with you - but I am willing to simply agree to disagree and dispense with the vulgar name-calling and vile character assassination. (you really could tone down the obscenities - just saying)... but just because we do disagree, I am not willing to restrict my posts to simply nodding and joyfully affirming views different from my own. In that respect, I'll admit to getting carried away with my own rethoric at times - but for crying out loud - that's what places like this are good for - voicing opinions. For the most part, I like to inject parody if not humor into the posts I put up - not so funny to you maybe - but i will always look for the absurdities in any situation.

I am not apologizing for anything - and I expect none, but from someone who has experienced indignation at the hands of self righteous right wingnuts, I can possibly understand your feelings - just a tad.

that's all i'm sayin -

have a nice life,
Dan

well one last thing - if by some strange twist of fate we should ever happen to meet in person and you call me a "limp wristed, despicable obtuse liberal cocksucking jerkoff" to my face... i will pound your sorry ass into the ground...k?

Jong,

Im not liberal, nor am I conservative...but I do watch both.

Libs fight that way, in a pack. They will shout you down, scream profanity, make stuff up, try to steal the direction of the argument and will most assuredly throw a wrench in the convo if they are losing.

They will act crazy to throw you off. They will ignore the facts and "produce" their own.

As of yet, I have not found an effective way to fight against this type of animalistic bickering.

On one hand, I can make my statement and allow them to insult it AND me as much as theyd like in the hope that some will actually listen. But to understand 2 sides (or 3 or 4) you need a modicum of intelligence, some class, and a sense of propriety.

All of which are lacking in the majority of Libs.

When you add in the annonymous nature of the internet, they get even worse.

On the other hand, I can engage in their way of fighting, thereby giving ground on my own sense of morality.

I won't do that.

So, I ignore them, and focus on getting my points out there.

If you leave, quite honestly, they win. The Libs need a counter force to break against, otherwise they will spread.

Oh, and btw...I don't agree with Conservatives either.

Its just that this post was about/directed at Libs.

and we were getting along so nicely Jong.

So much venom for over 50 percent of the populace in America. Are 50 percent of us anti-americans?
(on edit I'm thinking of this as an evenly divided country..but repubs and dems probably make up a good deal less than the whole...so amend that to like 38 percent of the population)

Oh you do so much for the dialogue....you truly are better than the rest of us...all hail jong, the martyr for truth and integrity.

Wulf,

you don't know what you're talking about. For my part, if somebody is outnumbered on the other side, I take a huge step back, but I relish being outnumbered by repubs when I argue. On a message board, everybody has something to say, and sometimes there's only one person representing a certain view. Jong isn't getting shouted down, and isn't, as jong put it, being interruptd from completing a sentence. Does that sound absurd to anybody here but me?

I have a vote and I'm not afraid to use it!

Jong (and Kirkules and Wulf)

Maybe in YOUR world it's OK to bait and flame people just because they disagree with you - a la Rush and Hannity and the rest of pack. Let me give you some examples of YOUR words (in case you all forgot):

------------------------------

This is from a single thread

I can ALWAYS count on your pathetic nastiness being here; lurking, drooling, foaming, and just waiting to pounce on someone. I've told you to fuck off before. Are you too stupid to do that? Yes you obviously are. Try again, fuck off.

Obama is a Muslim
* posted to annoy the Rue-ass

Obama is a terrorist
* posted to piss off the Rue-ass

Palin will become Rue's role model for eternity.
* posted to agitate the Rue-ass

McCain is a hero. Obama is a criminal.
* posted to task the Rue-ass

C'mon Rue-ass.....5 new opportunities for you! Go get'em hoss!

I must be the central focus of her sad, pathetic life, because the second I post something she is always there (24/7/365) to respond with some nasty condescending crap. I do not understand the constant obsessive compulsion of these board-bunnies to have a fucking opinion of everything & everyone.

Sad to see you still are behaving like Rue's lap-dog.

Blow me Sigfried. Then you can go put your head back up Rue's derrier (sic) where it belongs.

------------------------------

Upon hearing of Biden's latest prediction, Louis Farrakhan ordered his Black Muslim followers to cut up their white robes into little squares. Farrakhan will deliver them personally to his good friend Obama to be used as surrender flags all over the world. Reverand (sic) Jeremiah Wright will assist with the surerender (sic) flag distribution. He'll sell them in the lobby of his church, right next to his God Damn America videos. For an extra 3 bucks, you can get one personally signed by Obama's mentor Bill Ayers.

------------------------------

I just want to see which Liberal bitch will jump out the window first when Sarah Palin becomes their VP, their role model, and in many cases their mommy.
------------------------------

Like many of the smarmy little shits on this board, when you can't address the subject you merely point to other cherry-picked examples to defend your hopeless position.

------------------------------

You're following me around like a fucking troll idiot. Got nothing better to do than try so desperately to get me to respond to you? You're sad & pathetic. Piss off little man!

You're a BIGGER worthless scum than me, so there asswipe.

------------------------------

Greetings to Liberals !

------------------------------

And then Jong, you capped this little history off with this:

... unfortunately I am being attacked by too many all over the RWED. I cannot keep up with all the personal insults to me ...

------------------------------

ALL OF YOU - need to realize that while this may be normal everyday thinking to YOU, it's trolling to the rest of the (normal) world.

Couple of things...

I think this is normal in right-wing talk radio (and in in Mike Malloy's show, but generally not as common on the liberal-left side).

I think right-wingers are so used to hearing bile and venom go in one direction as the gospel truth that it's invisible to them what it actually is, and when it comes back at them even in diluted form they freak out.

Nonetheless, I see no benefit to responding in the same way.

Maybe you don't, but as Kirk has noted, I give as good as I get - and am fully willing and able to take it when it's dished right back.

All depends on how someone brings it, Anthony in particular tends to be quite sparing on any verbal smack, for example, and so I will respond to his points sans vulgar commentary as a general rule...

But when addressed with hate, or verbal abuse, I'll not be sparing in returning my own share of it, nope - as long as an actual POINT is being discussed I could care less which way it goes.

But meaningless half-truths and laughable propaganda hoisted on a pike of hatred, intolerance and purile nastiness is gonna draw the full salvo of verbal smackdown, and watching someone dare whinge and whine about recieving counterbattery fire annoys the piss out of me, especially when they gutlessly yank the post from it's original location cause they didn't have the balls to leave it stand.

And I don't "pile on" cause I got no pile, I happen to be the only Anarchist here, and am neither Liberal nor Conservative but rather Militant-Moderate, so if you find my teeth in your ankle, rest assured I have my own damn reasons for it irrespective of anyone elses.

This whole pathetic and immature display makes me queasy to even look at, Jong, especially when your own actions poison the pond for fellow Conservatives here merely by your association with them, dragging the rest of them down in the muck with you - that's unfair to them and unacceptable by any stretch, I sure wouldn't want you on my side, if this is how you'd represent it.

So go on, throw your tantrum and poison the well for your own side, if you like, with friends like you, I need not bother busting their chops, cause you make em look worse than I ever could.

"Nonetheless, I see no benefit to responding in the same way."

There are several different ways I see to go with this (and probably there are more):

1) let it stand
I'm not a fan of this approach, as an unchallenged lie repeated often enough becomes common 'wisdom' - as for example, the idea that the Democrats were responsible for the economic meltdown, that ACORN is engaged in voter fraud, and that Obama 'pals around with terr'sts'.

2) challenge it with facts
Now, I don't know how much time you have, but I tried this for many years. And I learned a few things from my efforts:
- Some people, like Rap and Jong literally never learn.
- Some people, like Geezer, knowingly use disinformation tactics in any discussion.
- People can spew crap faster than you can clean it up, kinda' like the Augean stables.
- And people will keep switching attacks when the old ones fail, so even if you 'win' one point, you end up having to go on to win the next, and the next, and the next ...
- MANY people on the right feel that using hate-filled labels is a normal discussion of fact.

All in all, by my pretending those people are rational and worth replying to rationally, they end up being a big fat waste of MY time. And generally, I believe tit for tat is a better approach anyway. So, what to do - don't start, but reply in kind. Take great pains to also point out what they are doing. And take pride in making the right enemies.

...

i don't know.

The only one I usually get combative with from the get-go is Hero, and that because soemthing about the way he posts seems insincere...I don't entirely trust that he believes what he's posting or that he cares whether he believes it.

Auraptor can get belligerent, and debates with him can seem like treading quicksand, but he seems to genuinely believe himself...

Jong is a strange case, like he/she(not calling you a he-she just don't know which you are) was somehow deeply and emotionally damaged by a liberal in his/her youth, like maybe the mom ran off with someone in the peace corps. Whatever the slight is, its deep, and I always get a twinge of sympathy when all that childhood revertion of helplessness and anger takes over those posts.

I'm perfectly happy to trade insults...and I've even thrown out a fiew first,

but like my republican buddy at work, I always like to start fresh, work from a place of mutual respect, before we get back into the mud...

common ground, when it happens, is a beautiful thing....its just too bad every success is tempered with the fact that he can never holistically apply those kernals to his overall sense of the world. ...not only is it starting fresh, it's like starting over...every time

and on edit---- if I'm way off base Hero, I apologize, and I don't claim to have any hard knowledge about how you think, but your feats of logic seem often more like games or excercises to me, than felt...maybe that's just your style and I'm missing the belief in your words underneath.

My experience has been that Geezer discusses with all the nuance of a bar-fight, if it touches on one of his hot-button topics. He uses every rhetorical trick in the book like an old pro: demanding impossible perfection, strawmanning, ad hominem, straight disinformation, innuendo, snark...

EVENTUALLY, if you have the patience to stick with the topic and not go down one of Geezer's bunny-trails, you SOMETIMES get to a productive discussion.
