I completely disagree with him on a multiple of issues, but the fact is on 1/1/09 he will be my President.

I'm not a crazy leftist who wants bad things to happen to my country for the benefit of my ideology. So I pray to God that President Obama will do the right things. And I'll support him when he's right, criticize him when he's wrong...but never engage in Obama Derangement Syndrome...because he is still my President.

Fixed that date for ya.

Here's for a safe, non productive 4 years, and then defeat for Obama in '12.

I believe Obama is a good man. I am a 'crazy' leftist, but also do not agree with Obama on everything. If anything he could go further and condemn war altogether, but I suspect that would be too much too soon. I think Obama will do the right thing - and that doing so will not involve putting America in danger. Quite the opposite.

Congratulations Barrak Obama. Now we can hope again.

many of us leftists have come to our "ideology" with a genuine sense of trying to make the country better, not to destroy it just to preserve our way of thinking,

but thank you skywalken, for the gracious congratulations to our nation's elected President, and thank you for vowing to continue to be diligent. Hopefully those of us on the left will be as well, even though the guy we wanted won.

Hopefully those of us on both sides can disregard our ideaological leanings when the pegs don't fit in the holes, and hopefully, as I believe he will, Obama will do as he promised, and regard in those views he most disagrees with, a gravitas demanding of respectful attention,

and that that will lead him to a fuller, more complete perspective on how everything fits into the puzzle.

And hopefully y'all won't take this as (snarky pun intended) "mission accomplished" and will be standing by with a nice heavy boot to ram up his ass if he steps outta line.

He works for US people, never forget it.

those of us who worked so hard for him will never forget this day - he said it himself, "this election is not about me - it is about you".....

My most sincere congratulations to President-Elect Obama, Vice President Elect Biden and their families.... and to this country - it's nice when dreams come true.

And I still mean all of that. Unfortunately, he's been consistently wrong since he got into office.

Yes, he's still my President. Unfortunately, my President is a communist more interesting in killing babies than fighting terrorists.

I still don't want bad thing to happen to my country so that the political fallout will hurt Obama and the Demoncrats. But of course, like Rush Limbaugh, Tammy Bruce and other patriots I am absolutely hoping that B. Hussein fails at his effort to transform the United States of America into the United Soviet States of America.

It was an uphill battle all the way, but thank the Gods he persevered and pushed that Baby Killing plan through, just barely! Victory! I am 100% behind his Mandatory Bread Lines Bill too.

A concern of the GOP is that the people aren't informed enough to understand their policies, while a fear of the Dems is that the people ARE.

I already did!

I was thinking of giving it to a friend who makes t-shirts.

Well, *I* do it because I call it "dressing with irony". I used to print shirts for a living. One of our big sellers was a 7-color version of the Che image, done in dye-discharge inks (MUCH softer on the hand than the regular t-shirt ink) on black tees. They retailed for $50 each. So when I put on a $50 Che t-shirt, I'm pointing out the irony of such a thing existing in the first place. Get it?

'Course, I also wear a ratty Sex Pistols shirt I printed way back in the day, and tuck it into a pair of Armani slacks. It's the culture clash of the whole thing that's the point.

I find the zombiefied version more appropriate to his actual intentions, and in a dark sort of way, quite amusing.

If I was gonna wear a T-shirt with a revolutionary on it though, it'd be this guy.
