Why do you care so much about Jesse Jackson of all people? What has he ever done to you, specifically? Has affirmative action killed your parents or something? I've heard the right-wing talk about "accusations of racism" like they're some kind of spiritual fatwa that somehow balance out the 400 years of slavery from which our people have yet to fully heal. Why does Jesse Jackson matter so much to each of you? Why mock the man's tears from Tuesday night? Blacks have been what compassionate people in this country call an "oppressed people," second class citizens, some fraction of a legal individual, disenfranchised, separate and unequal, racially profiled, etc. White people in this country have not been by any stretch of the imagination equally oppressed. The effects of such discrimination linger to this day. Of course, Obama's election to President is a HUGE event in terms of race relations. Of course, this single event even in itself will go a long way to heal our national wounds around the issue of race. That's a given. I wonder what the heck you guys are actually talking about? What violence has been done to you for which you so fervently desire reparations if not revenge?

What violence has been done to you for which you so fervently desire reparations if not revenge? Sort of like he "behaved himself" into office... So "equal oppression" is the standard... Sounds suspiciously like 'Animal Farm'... All of the animals are equal , it's just that some are "more equal" than others... Obama need not cry about emergent racism...Not yet , anyway... Besides , that's the duty of his sycophants...And their Communist sympathizers... "...Frank Marshall Davis , Obama's childhood mentor, was a racist kook and member of the Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA. The poetry he would read to young Obama included lines like "Smash on, victory-eating Red Army." Davis believed that American and British "rich industrialists" wanted Hitler to win WWII, so that communists could be oppressed. Nonetheless, the Hitler-Stalin pact did not cause him to leave the Party. His poetry documents his vehement hatred of Caucasians, capitalism, Christianity, and America. In Dreams From My Father, Obama quotes Davis's advice not to "start believing what they tell you about equal opportunity and the American way and all that ####." "...Sam Graham-Felsen runs Obama's blog. As noted earlier, he is a communist who shares Obama's philosophy of keeping the rhetoric toned down until power has been seized." These are well-known and True Facts... There are many more like this...
