Umm, you DO know that this bolus was originally floated by a McCain staffer, and first floated on that paragon of utter stupidity, Fox "news" right ?

Shame on MSNBC - and everyone else, for cribbing it without fact checking it, but humiliation galore for Fox for throwing it like a touchdown pass in the first place.

Being that I consider it MY job to mock and embarrass folks like you, I really wish you'd quit doin most of the work for me.

Mock me all you like (would'nt be the 1st time) but MSNBC made a fool of it self because of there insane hatered for Palin. Like Dan Rather and "Filegate", they jumped at it because they WANTED it to be true.

I've watched O'Reilly for many years. I e-mailed him for the first time ever the day after the Carl Cameron "hit piece" on Palin last week, and told him that the segment disgusted me. The next day O'Reilly defended it against an onslaught of mail from the folks. I just couldn't understand the purpose of the "story", other than to forever taint a once-respected journalist like Cameron. It was his grinning and salivating eagerness to toss out salacious and scathing reports from "un-named" sources that upset me the most, not even necessarily the content, but the rationale behind putting it out as some sort of important revelation. It is absolutely true that Fox's Carl Cameron was the catalyst behind msnbc and all the others picking up and promulgating that hoax. I haven't watched O'Reilly much since, so I don't know if he ever apologized or retracted. I know MSNBC did.

Whozit, the dumbest thing about your post is that it says in the first two sentences that it was a Fox News Story, as other people have pointed out, but wouldn't have needed to if you ever read your own posts.

You show just how credible you are when you attack a specific news outlet for doing what your favored one did according to the very article you posted.

It's a clear sign that you need help when you can sit there scolding your left hand to stop touching yourself, while your right hand goes to town.

Fox News admitted that when the story broke...the McCain staffer who leaked the story months before asked that nothing be reported before the election.

How different would the late 70's be if Woodward and Bernstein hushed up Watergate until 77?

If this would have been negative Biden material Fox would have tattoo'd the story to Martha McCallum's ass and ran it 24/7 no matter who asked what.

If Fox News reports negativly on Republicans...it'e either a set up for a "democrats are even worse" story, or it's part of a larger plan to make Palin look persecuted. Republicans respond with furious anger when the Liberal press messes with the princess of heavan and Alaska. Positive air time on Fox for Palin will be a reality for the next four years.

Frem once directed me to a great bunch of history...it dispelled my previous notion that the press has ever been fair and balanced. Thus the term "mudraker"

Journalism is a business, they provide us with stimulating material of varying repute and the advertising that takes it's place in the areas of our subconscious that dictate our buying practices. Really very simple and nothing new.

And that wasn't the HALF of the crap I could tell ya, if I felt like boring you to death, that is.

But, you might find this tidbit interesting.
http://www.prwatch.org/fakenews/release

I fail to see how anyone can take them seriously anymore, I mean, if someone lied to me every time they spoke, imma be skeptical of anything they say - and yet, in spite of YEARS of downright proven lies, people still give these berks any credence at all ?

Thankfully the internet has broadened the average persons ability to investigate, compare, and weigh the material critically, allowing more folks to sift truth from propaganda, and this slow realisation is killing their market share, something they're pissed about, and it's the primary reason the big media companies wanna lock up and strangle the net.

To which, the only sane and proper response is...
"over my rotting corpse, ya bastards!"

You gotta check the ratings because you couldn't have been lied to more. Here is the link to check night after night after night...like last night where Fox didn't get better ratings.

The Scoreboard: Thursday, Nov. 13
25-54 demographic: (L +SD)

Total day: FNC: 302 | CNN: 315 | MSNBC: 245 | HLN: 137

Prime: FNC: 553 | CNN: 696 | MSNBC: 577 | HLN: 338

Yesterday...CNN beat Fox, Fox beat MSNBC from morning till prime time, which is 6:00 pm on. In Prime Time only CNN beat MSNBC, MSNBC beat Fox. In case your having trouble interpreting this data. This is the demo advertisers use. Here is the link.

Hope this helps you, I look at this as much as I was looking at Realclearpolitics.

You're missing my point. People, especially the ones deciding what to watch on television, are morons. The same people who chose "Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire" over "Firefly" are choosing to trust Fox news. Not saying that proves anything in particular about Fox News, but it certainly doesn't prove they're trustworthy.

You don't even know how to make a coherent point, do you?

Here, let me break it down, nice and simple for you:

You go on about MSNBC going with a bogus story.

It's pointed out to you that siad story originated with McCain's staff, and then was originally reported by Fox.

And you still think it's MSNBC's fault.

When this disconnect is pointed out, you mention Fox's ratings (and got the facts wrong - twice! - In case it flew past you, which wouldn't be a surprise, CNN beat Fox in Primetime, dipshit).

What the fuck do their ratings have to do with this story?

And I know, I used some big words in there, so you probably got lost about half-way. Do you wonder why you are considered such a joke?

If Fox News or even Rush had any real power, or a strong political influence with the masses, then Obama wouldn't have won. In many ways, Obama's win diminshes Fox News in the short term to mere muckraking whiners, nitpickers, and rebels without a cause. They ought to put it all aside for a spell and just show old movies in the time slot of 8-11. Come back in a couple of years guys when maybe you have something to say that matters anymore, or at least until your beloved Republican Party learns how to turn on a computer, or sign up a voter. Endless campaigning is really such a bore. Despite all the continued finger pointing of blame for the economy and the war on terror at Democrats from Fox and Republicans, the cold hard fact is that Bush's exit is leaving America in real bad shape, and that's just the ultimate insult to all of us. He's the President, it's all his responsiblity and legacy. Presidents aren't supposed to weaken a country, and then pass it off in the night with a wolf howling under a full moon. I'll give him his Dennis Miller 2,940 days without an attack in America stat, but that cannot justify in any way leaving America crippled, un-sure, weak, and vulnerable. It has to be a huge black mark of shame in history. Meanwhile, the country is floundering, and Bush goes on the air and says that some progress is being made, but to be prepared for worse economic times. Screw that! Sounds like an old Iraq speech from 2003. Obama, whether he can fix it all or not, needs to go in now. Paulson, and the rest of the WH have failed the country, and they should try to salvage an ounce of credibility by leaving this weekend. Pack up and get out. Obama can still have his Inauguration and fancy balls in January, but things need to be done now.

Seems to be the general reaction of the GOP as a whole, and almost the entirety of that end of the political spectrum, doesn't it ?

Think on that, long and hard if you're ever tempted to let those fuckers back in any office ever again for any reason, local or national.

The GOP is terrified because the last thing they expected was for America to be more concerned about money than God. Having been nearly eradicated from the federal government, and coming soon the Supreme Court...or should I say retiring soon, Justice Stevens at 88, Justice Ginsburg at 75 and Justices Scalia and Kennedy at 72...They've become an island.

The only ordinance Conservatives and Republicans have is Rush, Fox news, and the scared shitless white christian redneck radio network.

Poor little fearfull Republicans. Nobody listens anymore.
