Lemme share with you Peter Gutmann's writeup on the nightmare that is Windows Vista, and trying to get it to do *anything* but try to give you orders when it comes to "premium" (read: just about ANY) content.

I rebuilt mine to run on linux. Ubuntu 8.10 on an SSD. Oh, life is sweet. Meanwhile, my brother has gone all NWO on me, and that's just not good.
