I thought New World Order was a republican thing from the Yale Men like GB 41 and Cord Meyer CIA spook under Kennedy. The whole world federation of nations idea out the 1930's. The democrats are the Harvard men with the socialist movement with the elite at the top thing. Hmmm maybe both parties are the same.

The New World Order is a conspiracy theory, in which a powerful and secretive group is plotting to eventually rule the world via an autonomous world government, which would replace sovereign states and other checks and balances in world power struggles.

COMMENTARY
China sails into new world order

New world order will emerge in 2009, with U.S. plunging

By Paul Kennedy
Updated: 01/05/2009 11:07:49 AM MST

Every so often in the history of international affairs, a great transnational turbulence shakes the foundations of the world and brings many of its older structures tumbling to the ground, as we witnessed in 1919, 1945 and 1989. In the confusion and babble that follow, it's difficult to see through the dust and recognize the shape of the altered strategic landscape.

Peering through the wreckage of the past year's financial crisis, it seems clear that every nation was a loser in 2008. The world's developed economies have taken a heavy beating, whether measured by their collapsing industrial production, tumbling exports, surging unemployment, frozen credit markets or the near- paralysis of maritime trade.

Yet we also hear cries of distress across the globe. Vladimir Putin's proud Russia is reeling toward internal collapse. China is sending factory workers home to the countryside. The International Monetary Fund is trying to rescue Iceland and Ukraine from economic oblivion. Brazil's currency is plummeting against the U.S. dollar. And the brief honeymoon for commodity-exporting African countries is over. Which national economy didn't take a blow to the head in this annus horribilus?

When the dust settles, will we see all countries equally battered, like the streets of Dresden after the Allied bombings in February 1945?

Jaynzetown, good post. We are in an econonmic war just as the cold war. A real war where the battles are fought on the free market. Greed, yep but an easy answer for the perfect storm that has hit the world. I have thought this was deliberate. Some thing behind the scenes is causing this. When they blamed the mexicans on the housing collapse then the Deutsche Bank on the mexicans. Come on get real. Reagan and his boys drove down the price of crude oil and kept it down to break the Soviets. They relied on hard currency from the high price of crude. In July Putnin invades Georgia the price of oil peaks bang the bottom falls out. Russia is desperate and we screwed them here with the oil droppen. The war might be to slow the dragon of the east. Slow down the quiet building up of China's military. They want to be a force at the table over Taiwan. China would like to make a move on it but one carrier battle groups quiets them down. We bust them now the party is over. China is sending workers back to the fields. What we are seeing is a change in how the world runs. China could fall into war lords with the old dyanasties coming back. Russia into a civil war with regional governors. It'll be bad. Looking back at 9/11 it saved us from the 2002.com mess. With two campaigns going on in the war on terror. Alot of jobs came about. Now we are neck deep in poop. Obama is getting set up by the Clintons. Bush Clinton its the same again. America has a bread basket, meats, and can get the textile and oil market started again in the US. I think we will be able to weather anything. But people will have it tuff but will get by just with out starbucks and krispy kremes. Hard times are a comming.

DREAMTROVE

NWO is a term used to refer to the globalist agenda, it is not a conspiracy theory. Globalists used the term for basically the whole last century, until people started attacking it. Then they ditched it.

Who the globalists are is a trotsky socialist movement that grew out of a split in the communist party. They take heavily after the original one worlders, but with some different internationalist ideas.

They are in no way theory, and whether or not they are conspiracy is a matter of opinion. I tend to think of them as a political movement, a new form of global socialism that became dominant in US politics in the 1970s. They've only really since tried their hands at being republicans, but it never goes well, usually they are democrats, but they exist on both sides of the aisle.

To say that globalism is a conspiracy theory is like saying that communism is a conspiracy theory, or that al qaeda is. There is some truth in that, but not a lot of speculation. The NWO crowd has published thousands of volumes on the new world order and globalism, which is why it caught on.

A lot of conspiracy theorists now use NWO as a catch all, simply because it's a nice shortcut. I think that a group of people engaged in anti-american activities and wielding a tremendous amount of power being called a conspiracy theory is very dangerous. It implies their non-existance, which they would now love to imply.

NWO of course is not a united group, but then neither are other commies, and neither is al qaeda. there are lots of globalists who have used the phrase and believe in one world govt., dissolution of national sovereignty, etc.

A prominent one of late is CFR. Skull and Bones is a NWO group, but they're more servants than leaders. They exist to serve themselves and make a buck, they're the ones who used the phrase too much, and made people drop it. GHW Bush used it incessantly.

These groups are shapeshifting, changing parties, countries, and organizations. If the CFR gets too much in the spotlight, they'll all shuffle over and form a new group. But again, it's not a united front. It's a lot of people who believe in one world under one govt. with absolute authority. Essentially, planet walmart. It's undoubtedly the ultimate enemy of individualism.

But just because there are globalist democrats and globalist republicans and globalist communists, who all have a common origin in a split in the communist party, doesn't mean they are one group. It does mean that there interests will coincide from time to time, and bad things will result.

The way China dismantled tibet, canton, uygar, etc. and is trying to replace it with a clone of the commie govt., that's basically what the globalists want to do to the world.

My own personal conspiracy theory, I call them Rockefeller, Rothschild and Company. The reason is that globalist institutions almost always get their funding from either the Rockefellers or the Rothschilds.

If someone supports this idea, and likes firefly, they're either disconnected, or they were just routing for the alliance. This is one of the core things that firefly is about. This idea that there might be a central authority one day that would try to turn us all into cookie cutter molds of whatever served the state. This is why Joss has it as a western-chinese alliance, because it's the only way he sees it as being possible. Already he's being proven precient on that.

Kissinger - just another Nixon-era relic that needs to be tossed in the dustbin of history, along with Rumsfeld, Cheney, and Pat Buchanan.

It's why I see Firefly as a true-to-life story...

All should recall that Joss sees the folk aboard Serenity as " the people history stepped on " , which is synonymous with Orwell's vision about the history of humanity being the image of a human face pressed beneath the heels of the jackboots...

One world with One human government and absolute authority , that's the Alliance...

Planet WalMart , that's 'BlueSun'...

It's what makes it really difficult to comprehend Folk hereabouts who see the Alliance as benign , if not actually benevolent...

Governmental authority poking around in a juvenile brain for the purpose of creating a psychic assassin ,
where's that get fun ?

It's neither benign , nor benevolent...

Such is the history of humankind...

Caveat emptor !

It is not those who use the term "Islamo-Fascism" who are sullying the name of Islam; it is the Islamo-Fascists. - Dennis Prager

A concern of the GOP is that the people aren't informed enough to understand their policies, while a fear of the Dems is that the people ARE.

Depends - you wanna talk to the workers, or the bankers?

To talk to the workers, learn Mandarin. That should cover about 95% of the population of China.

To talk to the bankers, learn Cantonese. That's the language of Hong Kong, the banking center.

Or, for a real waste of time, study Taiwanese. 'Cuz that'll be useful once they're absorbed by mainland China...

Edited to add:

From Wiki:

Quote:

Most languages in China belong to the Sino-Tibetan language family, spoken by 29 ethnicities. There are also several major dialects within the Chinese language itself. The most spoken dialects are Mandarin (spoken by over 70% of the population), Wu, Yue (Cantonese), Min, Xiang, Gan, and Hakka. Non-Sinitic languages spoken widely by ethnic minorities include Zhuang (Thai), Mongolian, Tibetan, Uyghur (Turkic), Hmong and Korean.[23]

So Mandarin's still your best bet.
