I suppose the incentive is look who else has your icon, and if you don't want to have your comments confused with theirs, then change your logo.

On the whole River/Signy thing, I just felt like yanking Reaver's chain a bit, using her own logic and words. Also, I don't mind deflecting fire from Signy a bit; she's covered me plenty of times in the past.

What most people don't get about me is that, at the end of the day, I tend to just drop in and snipe at folks' preconceived notions a bit, in order to get them to think about what they're saying from another point of view. Or, as DeepGirl said a long time ago in another thread, get them to see what it would be like to "live on the other side of the now."

Like Frem, I rather enjoy tossing a wrench into the works now and again, to see if the works really... ya know, WORK.

I find it amusing how quickly the social order breaks down. Amusing and... disturbing at the same time.

People and society are loosely put together. you can see this happen in govt. and in the corporate world just as easily, so it's not that we're a bunch of crackheads.

But it's true that you share some characteristics with Frem, which while not enough to confuse the two of you, enough that one of you might do something and I could misremember it as the other, which was one of the instances of avatar confusion that lead me to this thread. (no shortage of rivers and jaynes, and a few too many books.)

As for the image, I like the kitten. I threw in Mathilda because I thought after throwing enough well deserved daggers at Ohlmert, I thought I'd vote in favor of an Israeli I really like :)

As for River vs. Signy, it would be easy to side with the long term member over the newbie, easier than just siding with the fellow conservative over the liberal, but I was trying not to take sides. After Signy went off the deep end, I felt that there was no saving the situation, and the sooner they get over it the better. Least said, soonest mended.

The only other comment would be "If those two don't kill each other soon, I might just lend a hand." :)
