Go back to bladerunner, and then rewind a little further. Remember the scene in the Tyrell corporation, when he first comes in, to meet Rachael (Note the owl!) That scene is taken from Fritz Lang's Metropolis, it's the same shot, intentionally. As I said, I just read a book of cartoons from 1907 suggesting in a century when the nation was properly subdued by drug addiction wage slavery and fear mongering, a black man would become president and we'd all be slain by our belief in a message of hope.

Predicting the future is easy, getting people to believe you, that's another matter. I knew about stem cells because a doctor in the late 70s told me it would happen in 2000. He was off, it was 2001. Also, of course, once you know, you have to be able to do something with that knowledge, or it's useless.

IMHO, Chris, you're not skeptical enough. You have to question more and dig more, and it'll all fall into place. Of course, that place is nowhere near this place :)
