It's clear you didn't even look at the video. It was from 2004, not 2008. You have no idea of what you're talking about. All you do is take what I say, flip it on its head, and repeat it back. McCain wasn't and never WILL be the leader of the GOP. Just as Kerry was never the LEADER of the Dems, they both were simply defacto winners of their party's election process. But your simplistic view of the US political process falsly assumes that anything anti Democrat HAD to come from McCain. Hell, McCain was the Liberal NYT's choice back when his campaign was failing because the Left saw McCain as who he was, a RINO.

Please, do yourself a favor and stop simply reacting to post in which you have no business posting.

Ahh, personal insults, the last resort of someone proven wrong.

Give it up, you've got no case. The fact you can't bring up a counter argument to what I said, or any real facts, indicates you know it too .

Also McCain's campaign made a big song and dance about how it's all ACRON's fault. IF you'd been paying attention, you'd have noticed that...

It's not an insult if it's true.

citizen clearly did not look at or comment on the video link posted. - FACT

McCain wasn't using " Rovian " tactics, what ever the hell those are suppose to be, during the campaign. So, any claim that a criticism towards the Left wing Dems came from McCain during the campaign is patently false.

He clearly has no clue what he's talking about. That makes him IGNORANT.

I didn't even say he was stupid or suggest he had a lack of intellect. I simply said he was uninformed. And YOU folks are ignorant of what a " personal insult " really is. Which is amazing, since you hurl them at others so damn often.

I heard 'treason', at the end of one Palin clip, is all. Which is understandable, as Obama did falsly state that we were bombing villages and killing civilians, as though they were our sole targets. Obama knows better, and knew better, even when he said those words. He's a liar.

On the McCain clip, it's clear that McCain does react to, again ONE rally attendee.... he reacts with a frown, not a smile. And then he comments about 'angry insults ', which is a clear indication he's NOT condoning such displays.

Again, I'm right. Thanks for posting.

Never once lied, either time. McCain never "smiled" at the utterance of anyone saying " Terrorist " , and I'd never seen that clip before. So I couldn't have been lying.

It's more likely that such folks werre Liberal plants, there to make the GOP candidates look bad, and knowing they'd be heard on camera. After the initial false report of threats to Obama " allegedly " heard at a Palin rally in Florida, were found to be untrue. Easy enough to smear your candidate, when all you need is ONE lone shouter in a crowd to put the other 1000's in a a bad light.

There's nothing I'd put past the Demunderground/ moveondotorg types. Nothing.

Yes, of course, in your world I suppose a highly edited one sided republican propaganda piece would constitute fact.

Besides, I don't care about the video. I never mentioned the video. I never mentioned the Republicans or the Democrats. What I was talking about had little to nothing to do with either of them. It's not my fault if you are incapable of seeing any statement except in terms of "agrees with me, Republican, GOOD", "disagrees with me, Democrat, BAD!".

I really don't care about your silly propaganda piece that has absolutely nothing to do with what I said. I wasn't discussing which political party was at fault, I was pointing out factual inaccuracies in your argument. For instance insinuating that Fannie mae and Freddie Mac were lending to bad customers, when in fact no one ever bought a mortgage from them, good or bad. They didn't sell mortgages to end customers, geddit? Or insisting that ACORN was pressuring banks in to bad loans, when they were arguing AGAINST predatory lending. Not once did I mention the Republicans or the Democrats. Not once did I try to lay the blame at either of their feet. Unlike true unthinking lock step partisans, I don't think either of them are to blame, I think they BOTH are.

But instead of actually reading and understanding what I said, you have to devolve it down to some combat of partisan talking points.

Until you can break your programming, and leap out of this US and THEM attitude, where you have to break every argument down into pro-Republican, or pro-Democrat, then it's pointless talking to you. Go have your angry partisan argument with someone else, because I'm not interested.

Shit, either I'm entirely ignorant of US politics, or I'm deeply democrat, you really can't have it both ways. If you're going to insult me, at least keep those insults consistent ya fool. Contradicting yourself with your own insults just makes you look deeply silly.

If I was really as ignorant as you say, you wouldn't need to insult me to invalidate my argument. You refute yourself.

You have no case.

We won, you lost. Deal with it.

Sorry to be annoying, but I'm really annoyed.
It's not a team sport. You didn't win, Obama won.

As or Obama himself, at the moment, the man seems incapable of doing good, or obeying the law. Rap is right again, America has been had.

At the moment my ire is about Stem Cells. Bush never supported them, between his big pharm and fundamentalist retards, he had special interests making him the son of a b*tch that he is.

Obama on the other hand said "week one" and then "next week" and then "next tuesday" and now it's been a month, and he's given us a "soon" and a "maybe not." Meanwhile, he's being pressured heavily by industry, academia, his own govt, FDA, NIH, his own party, and the opposition party, yeah, I mean the republicans, to reverse the Bush ban already. And he won't do it. What's his f^&king problem?

So, in addition to the war in afghanistan which he's sending more troops to, spending more money on (oh, everyone should watch Ron Paul's speech the other day on the cost of American Empire, and why its sinking our economy) and we're still in Iraq, and now Obama's saying "maybe not in my first term" as far as getting out of Iraq goes. The Iraqis want us gone, they've made that perfectly clear.

And then there's the non-budget spending bills that all y'all gonna pay for forever. Oh, and the latest, I heard he's waffling on the buy america clause, which he just signed into law, he told some group of businessmen that there were ways around it, contract to an american firm and subcontract overseas, something like that. Who is this guy? I'm thinking of retracting the "he got overrun with clintonistas" to thinking maybe he was their trojan horse all along. I get that he hates Hillary. Oh, and there's a nice piece of work, she's doing her part to start a war in Korea.

Sorry, just had to vent. I heard there's a liberal group out there suggesting impeachment. If they do, I'll grant that democrats have balls. Republicans sadly have demonstrated that they do not, for 8 years, which is why they're all gay.

Oh indeedy, more than one - if we're talkin about the SAME one though, they were calling for it the day he was even sworn in, over the 2nd Amendment, on the grounds that if someone who's sworn an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution then espouses it's violation immediately thereafter has no business in that office at all.

But they ain't democrats, and democrats ain't liberal anymore than republicans are conservative.

The word you're looking for, is sociopathic.

If everything else they tell you is a bloody obvious lie, then why take them at their word on ANYTHING, up to and including their party platform and goals ?

Again, get your shit together, now is your ONLY real chance for many years to ambush them in congress, and at the top, while one of em is down and bleeding and the other is clueless about the threat - if anyone HAD listened to me months ago we'd have the jump on this.

Or... you could sit back and believe really hard in the hero myth and pray for someone to save you, uh huh - remember imma Maltheist who's of the idea that the kind of "saving" that would come from THAT direction would be Sol-Prime goin supernova.

Me, I figure if we don't do it now, we *deserve* the results - hell, i'm of the opinion that most of us already do.

But to doom future generations to it, who had no stake in it's creation or say in stopping it ?
Unforgiveable, and will count against anyone who stays their hand, staining their karma forever.

Yep, time to make it right.

I have no intention of leaving a massive debt to my child, or to her children. Just as I have no intention of leaving a plundered earth, or a system which REQUIRES such debt in order to function at all.

HOWEVER....

There is something to be said for "savings" and "investment".

It may surprise you, but I *loathe* the idea of one party in charge of all branches of government. I *applaud* having the Executive and Legislative Branches fighting it out tooth and nail, because it's more likely to ensure that if something gets passed, it's something that was really needed, not some bullshit that just got rubber-stamped.

I rather enjoy the idea of a split Congress - one party controlling the House, the other controlling the Senate. It would force them to start working WITH each other and WITH the few third-party/independent members, and quit pissing around so goddam much on partisan bullshit.

I, of course, am under no such constraints.

DT, you can be as annoyed as you like, but it won't change much of anything.

The line you quoted of mine is one I borrowed from AuLapdog, one of his favorites of the past few years. "We won, you lost. Get over it." or "Deal w/it."

I was snarking him by pointing out that he is now on the losing side of that statement.

Of course, it might be argued that we are ALL on the losing side...

Frem, I actually DID listen to you on this, and fully support the idea. I'll be backing third-party candidates in the next round of local and state elections. I almost don't even care which third party they represent (note I said *almost*) - as long as they're not a Democrat or a Republican, they're going to get a long listen from me. If I find someone I can actually believe in, I'll not only support them, I'll work for them (and I have worked on a few campaigns in the past).

This past election season, my number one goal was to get the Republicans out of power. Now it is to make sure the Democrats are right behind them with the boot in THEIR ass!

There's no politician who's going to be our shining knight on a milk-white steed. WE have to do it for ourselves, and we're going to have to kick an awful lot of ass on the way to DC.

Frem,

Nah, I was just reading about a group of Obama supporters, assuming they really are, who are claiming he's gone back on every promise. True, I think a lot of people heard what the wanted to hear, most of the Obama platform sounded pretty neocon myself, so people who voted for him and expected something else were being delusional, but on certain issues they had a point. He hasn't been johnny on the spot re: secret prisons, getting out of iraq, dealing with the deficit, or reversing bush's executive orders, patriot act, things which he actually did say on the campaign trail.

Right now, it's looking like Bill Clinton is being president through his goon squad, and if that's the case, well, we're all fucked.

Chris,

Actually, it's that when Rap was defending the US executive branch, he sounded absurd. Now he's attacking it, probably because there's a democrat in there, but he's making a lot of sense. I think the sour truth is that the executive branch has gotten a makeover, but it's restricted to image. I don't see a lot of policy reversal. The real reversal here is probably Rap and not me, a party loyalty issue. In case you haven't noticed, I've never been a big with the party loyalty.

Or national loyalty. If America sinks, I abandon. I'm busy picking out my lifeboat, worry about a destination later. Have fun with rearranging the debt chairs ;)

Oh, and thank for all the fish.

Personally, I'm pretty sour on the subject at the moment. I've had a lot of bad breaks, one of them being my foot, and losing my medical insurance, a bad combo, along with losing my savings, and my business folding. Just say I don't see Obama as a savior. I kinda see him as George W. Bush v. 2.0.

My way is very unsportsmanlike...

Exactly.

Step by step, we can put em down - but I really wish the partisan whiners would shut the fuck up and realize their own pet asswipes were, and are, part of the problem every bit as much.

In fact, I worry about those people - who will, even if we pull this off, resort to supporting the same assholes, with the same agendas, just repackaged by their favorite propaganda engine and appealing to whatever their pet hatred of the week is.

And because of that, their ignorance, their fear, intolerance and stupidity, their glaring weaknesses which they refuse to address...

Those people, because of these simple facts, and how willing they are to follow the directives of a tyrant who knows how to stroke em, are more than the would-be tyrants themselves, a THREAT to us - cause without em, a would be tyrant is nothing but one more loudmouth in a world replete with em.

Understand this, pokin the angry monkey is all fun and games here, but at some point you are going to have to address the VERY REAL THREAT such people pose, and you ain't gonna be able to do it with logic, reason, or appeal to their humanity.

Do you understand this ?
Are you prepared to deal with that ?

Those are questions you better ask NOW, or there's just no point in trying.
Cause me, I got a DAMN short hand for threats of that nature.

So you'd best think it all the way through, where this can and will go if we *do* happen to succeed in removing the global elite, and those shitheels do everything in their power up to and including sabotage, violence and terrorism, to put the scumbags back in.

And you've by now realised the futility of trying to negotiate.

That's been made chillingly clear by said monkey, I think.

Time for another "slip" to make us all aware how much we need the Military Industrial Complex to save our a*ses, ya think? Geeze, I hope not...
