I watched in complete awe... how can anyone believe a word this gas bag says? It was almost 2 hours of him sucking up to the people who listen to his show and buy his books.

He cautioned against the "fear mongering" the Dems and Obama are using by using FEAR of his own. "We are under attack! From within!"

They even had to drag Newt G. out of the closet so he could run the same dog and pony show that lost them the election. His big contribution? Adding the word "European" GASP! to the word "Socialism." More fear mongering. They won't learn.

By 'both sides' I assume you're talking about Republicans and Democrats. But they're really both on the same side and both more than willing you use scare tactics to increase their own power. Sure, the numbers are bad. But numbers don't dictate a policy. Doing nothing might be the very best option. Weed out some of the baggage and get busy rebuilding our economy. Out of the fifty-six signatories of the DOI, only SIX supported the Constitution, in fact most of them were firmly in the Anti-Federalist camp and opposed the hell spawned thing for very good reasons which are a matter of both public and historic record.

Unless, of course, you're basing off the fictionalised and heavily propagandised public school "history", which is so full of half truths and outright lies like the one I just quoted to support the Federalists that it's just plain laughable.

And we saw where the Federalists wanted to go with it damn near immediately, with Adams and his own little version of the patriot act, didn't we now ?

I don't see the hypocracy. He owned up to what he did, suffered the consequences (including the loss of hearing), and apologized. He is critical of drug abuse, he abused drugs...that is hypocracy, but he did not seek to avoid responsibility for what he did nor did he change his view. It was wrong before he did it, he was wrong for doing it, it remains wrong after it was done...that is NOT hypocracy.

Most Republicans would not vote for Rush for President.

We want someone with different skills, but the same ideals and passion. Anyone can be a conservative, not everyone is qualified to be President.

Thats not to say he could not do it down the road...I'd like to see how he did in a traditional political role first. Kinda like Palin, I'd have never voted for Mrs. Sarah Palin, mom, wife, etc. I was proud to vote for Governor Sarah Palin...the same person, but one whose demonstrated ability to do the job.

As for CPAC...I'm no Romney fan. I supported Huck, but his show on Fox is too silly...I don't know who I'd support in 2012. I don't think Sarah is right for the big chair (she could run for VP again), Bobby does not do it for me. I just don't know. I wonder what Jeb is up to?

Rush is a nincompoop, a barely passable entertainer who rode morton downey's coattails into stardom by telling people what they want to hear, with a demographic so stupid that the obvious hypocrisy of his little oxy problem, given his particular rhetoric at times, slid right past them because of partisan blindness.

Frankly the guy is no more a political commentator than a WWF match resembles a UFC match, his baliwick is entertainment, not enlightenment, and you do not seem to understand this.

He can spout off all he wants, mind you, free speech and all that, it's just that nothin he says really carries any more weight than a tent revival preacher trying to rev up the masses or a rock band kicking their fans into a frenzy with a couple good guitar licks.

All that said - that Obama is a jerk with too many Globalist Clintonistas hanging on his nuts to accomplish anything decent if he ever really had that intention, given how intentionally vague he was on campaign, well...

It wasn't Rush you heard that from originally, it was me.

Parroting the bloody obvious doesn't make the guy any kind of smart, you know, especially when he mixes it with half-truths, bloviation (his OWN word, mind you) and general jackassery to put on a nice bread and circus show to keep the masses occupied instead of actually doing something about it beyond running his trap.

Me now - I'd like to fix some of this mess - and frankly I've been nothing but honest with you about it the whole way, from telling you your little idol and his party were about to fall off that pedestal, to pointing out the new guys would immediately step over the line in pushing their agenda, to reaching across the aisle in attempting to form a defense - and even pointing out that should that not happen I would do everything in my power to crush you and your favored political party into dust by putting the boot in while they were down every chance I got, before turning on the other guys and kneecapping them the moment opportunity allowed it.

And I was rather specific in mentioning to you that since you had no intent of actually participating in a bipartisan resistance effort to the inevitable abuses of the democrats, that I would be merciless in busting your chops as you rode the flaming wreck of the GOP into the ground where it properly belongs.
