Nope. I've freely admitted my views, beliefs, and never have sunk ONLY in to vitriol and " they should all be shot " mentality.

Swing and a miss.

But then, why do you even care ? I'm not even talking to you in the 1st place. You seem to be simply intent on denying anything I say. Seems sorta odd.

RiveR,

So, to sum up your reply

1. " I can't give you my views, they're too complex"

I only asked for ONE example That you can't even produce one , says much.

2. Large waste of time and space spent insulting and distorting AURaptor's politics.

Again, classic sign of a Liberal.

Quack, quack.

You know what? No, you don't, so I'll tell you.

You work so hard at this, and it tells me something- that you're desperately trying to sell yourself on your beliefs. If I say I believe in smaller, more efficient government, you can say "Then why did you vote for the Socialist?"
If I say I believe in personal responsibility (like I'd like to see most frivolous "Oh, I fell on ice & bumped my wittle ass" lawsuits thrown out of court), you can say "Then why are you for Nationalized Healthcare?"

In truth, we all here have so much in common, but you WORK to be a PITA.

Since I joined this place in 2005, I have learned so much about how many of my previously held beliefs in Liberal dogma were so full of go-se that I've evolved to a place where I question most every reaction I have on anything political, tempering my knee-jerk towards the left with the common sense attitudes of real Conservativism.

I wish you could do the same in reverse.

Chris

I'm as capable of pissing off as many bible thumping, church going 'conservatives' as the next guy. You say you've "changed", but I've stayed fast in my view, my beliefs. Maybe that's why you see me as such a pain. I won't cower to the public opinion. I know of why I believe in what I do, and it's not changed. Just like the good Shepherd said, " Believe in something ", no matter what it is.

I believe that we belong to ourselves. No political party, religion or government owns us. Our rights are also our own. That we should be able to do with ourselves as we see fit, so long as our rights do not hinder or interfere with anyone else's rights, through force or fraud. And while we each own ourselves, we do live in the real world, with many other people. That is why we need some sort of government , as a necessary evil. Clearly, taxes for roads and a common defense as well as basic utility services are required if a large population is going to exist and produce efficiently. The balance is how to keep everyone 'happy' and still not trample on their rights. I don't think we have it right here in the U.S., and things have the potential to get much worse ( even omitting the current economic landscape ) but it's better than most places, and I'm naively hopeful we can do much better still.

WoW!
AURaptor is really stupid. He's living in some kind of dreamland. Don't waste your breathe arguing with him because you might as well be arguing with a retarded kid with deep emotional issues. He's as moronic as every "ditto-head" I've met in my life.

What is really funny is he does a lot of typing, but makes no sense at all, and he crazy part is that he "thinks" he's making sense. I am the REAL Conservative AURaptor and you are just some kind of wannabe. You seriously need to sit down and STFU.

Come back when you have something adult to say.

You can too. I'm not saying "Don't believe," I'm saying believe what you believe, until it changes a little (or a lot), then believe THAT. Growth is sometimes painful, but change is the essential nature of all things.

But can't evolution also happen without natural selection? All natural selection does is limit the gene pool, favoring those with particular qualities. This has little bearing on the occurance of mutation or other such factors that actually change a species.

This is your problem Rapo. You have "beliefs". You are as religious about YOUR "beliefs" as the bible-thumper is about his/ hers. YOUR "beliefs" just happen to revolve around Rush's ass, that's the only difference.

Someone who "believes" is someone who is NOT LEARNING. After all.. why should they learn? They already have" The Answer", right? Why bother with useless "new" information" Why admit you were 'wrong"? (BTW, the opportunity to take that magnificent step is in the Ron Paul thread. It awaits you rapo: The opportunity to remake yourself in a thinking, adaptable human being, if just a little bit.)

in fact, I sometimes wonder: Did you suffer a brain injury somewhere along the way? Did mom "have" to make provisions for you because she knew you'd never get thru college and/ or make anything of yourself? If that's the case, I'll stop picking on you, because that would explain your continuing

I have to laugh at guys like this, not just here, but some other boards I've been to lately. They've decided they are in charge of who is or is not conservative. If you don't agree with them 100%, you're a librul, end of story.

It's hilarious, and shows how really desperate some are.

You think that's funny, you should see the reactions David Frum is getting for having written the article! He's been vilified by the right, who are now claiming that not only is he NOT a conservative, but he never was. check his credentials sometime, and then ask these so-called conservatives what great contributions THEY'VE made.
