In most areas of your life I am sure you are a dynamic, caring, intelligent individual. But politically, you are a scared little boy that wants Mommy & Daddy to make you safe.
And Mommy is a Capitalist, while Daddy is a Republican.

Say it isn't so.

I never saw your explanation of how I'm suppose to be an " authoritarian " and what the heck you even meant by that.

You never had a mom and dad? Curious.

Ok, if you're going to push both your braincells to the limit to woefully attempt to insult me, at least try to make it have some resemblance to reality.

What's the matter? Has Rush Limpdicks cock dried up too much this month so it can't splat todays opinion out for you?

Yet you continue to try to incite an argument. Heh, even there you catch yourself in your own lie.

Maybe if the only insult you had wasn't to describe yourself and then puts someone elses name in front of it, you'd be capable of hitting the mark once in awhile, but I guess not. You just keep tuning into Rush Limbaugh so he can tell you what you think yeah, and don't break a habit of a life time and think for yourself for once, that could cause you some serious injury, AUTroll!

I have a conclussion too. Many of you attack Auraptor, becuase it makes you feel more comfortable with your own point of view. Maybe you should take a lesson from auraptor and learn to be as confident with your own point of view and stop despising other people to make yourself feel better.

Danged if *I* know what a "conclussion" is - it's your word, so maybe you could explain it. I thought maybe you were trying to say you had a CONCUSSION, but messed it up a bit - on account of having a concussion, of course!

Well it is pretty evident that it was a typo when I wrote it, and most intelligent English speaking people could easily have derived the correct spelling from the context. Yet, somehow you came up with “concussion?”

Yes, it was pretty evident that it was a typo when you wrote it. Do you not check your work? Do you not take pride in communicating effectively? Most intelligent English-speaking people are capable of turning on Spell-Check, too. Some of them are even capable of using the "Edit" button and fixing their errors.

As for context, for all I know you might have been trying to say you had a concussion. That's one of the hazards of you not being intelligent enough to spell correctly or use acceptable grammar - you lose the ability to effectively communicate your point!

The addition of a single misplaced “s” completely obscures your ability to understand the text. That’s a serious retardation of leaning ability.

Stop insulting douchebags!

Actually, Olbermann's ok. The other night he was reviewing the roster of MSLSD anchors and said the following :

Chris Mathews : He's the political expert
Rachel Madow : She's the policy wonk
Me : I'm the network asshole

He really did say those things. Only question is why do I know that? I admit I like watching him and his butchy lil' sister Rachel sometimes. They are highly entertaining. The more they use personal attacks, the more I laugh.

I think it's sweet of you to defend rapo, portraying him as a poor, out-of-step "Piggy" (Lord of the Flies}to everyone's bullying. But yanno, I offered to take my conversation with him offline since it was turning into a hostile thread and he never took me up on my offer. Getting him to elucidate what he thinks and how he feels in a non-confrontaional setting is next to impossible. It's almost as if he doesn't know what to think unless he's actively involved in a brawl. So anyway, my impression is... I think he needs us more than we need him.

Personally, I'd like to get into discussions with a philosophical bent. I like developing ideas and sometimes I get stuck, but hearing things from a fresh perespective usually helps. Rapo doesn't help in that direction.

Fair enough, but what is your compulsive obsession with him anyway? Why do you and others really care about his opinions anyway? He's just a poster here, a voluminous one granted, but just another Browncoat in the verse. Your relentless hounding back at him is quite befuddling to me. Why? Why do you care? The only explanation is that he provides you and the rest with everything you need to feel good about yourselves. He validates your essence. He completes you, as a doppleganger from a parallel universe would. You and I have been down this road before, perhaps with me under a previous name, but the result is always the same. After a few hundred personal insults I just go away for a few weeks and post elsewhere. As I've said before I am no big fan of Mr Auraptor. In many ways he's as bad as you and your armada. He needs the daily hate as much as you do.

Coming from you JS, that's kinda funny!

So... I strolled thru the open door into troll country... not sure that all that typing changed any minds. But if anyone really belongs in troll country, Whozit gets my vote. Never seen so many pointless posts from a single person in my whole life.

AFA Rapo is concerned... poor thing, his points routinely blow up in his face and he STILL hasn't learned. Bush bowed to the Pope. The economy tanked- as I predicted but much to HIS surprise. There weren't any WMDs in Iraq. I wonder that he doesn't get tired of being behind the 8-ball all the time. But there's no point in getting all worked up about his misunderstandings. Yes, endlessly repeated points sometimes get picked up as "truth" but... aren't WE all just a bit tougher-minded than that?

ETA- I just read your post.
What I'm TRYING to do is get rapo to practice just a little bit of logic and insight. I think the reason why he has such a hard time coming up with HIS goals and HIS rationale is because ... he doesn't have any. Unless he's propagandizing Limbaugh's latest screed or contending with those he sees as "the enemy" he doesn't know WHAT to think. That's a sad and rather scary state to be in. It's as if he's a vessel to be filled with the latest right-wing outrage. I actually feel kinda sorry for him.

It's important to know the truth. It's important to know that there IS such a thing as "truth". It's not just a matter of opinion. The universe doesn't give a crap WHAT you think or HOW you feel. Any progress we make is because people let go of their tiny prejudices and narrow self-interests. The take themselves, their opinions, their desires and fears, OUT of the center of the universe, set them aside as best they can and try to see beyond.

I argue with him as I would with a man about to jump off a bridge!!! I want him to see past his own immediate pain & fear!! Confident folk can give reasons for their beliefs, he hides behind an Oxycontin fiend for his comfort!

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Not "politically" challenged. But yes, I have only concerned thoughts about rapo. I don't get angry with him anymore. (At least, not as much as before.) But I agree with Rue. It's dangerous for anyone to censor their data so heavily. Sooner or later, that person is going to fall into a pit they didn't see.

It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.

Why do I care? Why do I argue with him? Why do I refute him at every turn?

Simple. Because his particular, peculiar kind of bullshit, repeated often enough and without vigorous and vociferous opposition, may be seen and heralded by some as truth. And that I simply cannot abide, not as long as I've strength to argue the point.

So, do I "need" AuRaptor? Would I miss him if he were gone? Let me ask you this. Did you ever have a hemorrhoid? If so, did you miss it when it was gone?

That's cold Mike - what if AU suddenly saw the truth & realized there are no heroes in our government? What if he saw Presidents as tools of policy rather than leaders of men? What if he took the Repos off that pedestal & lined 'em up with the rest of the fallible human beings that happen to have positions of authority?

Forget it- never gonna happen.

I haven't really commented on any of this because I haven't wanted to get involved. Haven't been around for years like some of you, so I don't know the full play by play.

In general, though, I have seen a lot of posts that go something like: "No I'm not, YOU are! And your post just proves it, too! I pity you if you don't see why."

I think we can all agree that, regardless of the posters, those sorts of responses really aren't constructive to real world and/or political discussion. Even if they're fun.

The short of it is: Firefly is based on suspicion of Authority...independence of thought and belief...and somehow, diametrically opposed to those things as he is, AURaptor's still a Browncoat.
It's a puzzle to many here, one that heretofore we have not solved.

No, we CAN'T agree on that! You're dead wrong! Yes you are, and I pity you if you can't see how wrong you are! Your post just proves your wrongness.
