Hello,

It's always sad to see people who *seem* well positioned in life suddenly fall to great depths.

In any event, I am almost certain that the Power Rangers show was a criminal act in and of itself. I never understood why it gained any traction with our youth. It would have been cheaper and more entertaining to watch old Voltron re-runs.

Calling that guy a Power Ranger, is a complete screw-up of the news' information, he was on one episode with a non-speaking part. I agree with the whole anchor, ankle, water punishment.

Lock him in a box and mentally pick him apart to find out why, and maybe learn how to prevent folks from winding up like that, and as I mentioned before, because of his crimes, I'd have no issues with a concept usually used in engineering.

Well, it DOES teach and inspire cooperation in the face of adversity, which is something better than sittin around waiting for a hero to show up, although both shows pandered the hero myth after a fashion as well.

So awful or not, it had that going for it.

Well, the show also taught the lesson that no matter how many times you make a mistake, you should never learn from it. Voltron had this same problem.

20 times, they needed to combine their superweapons to destroy the mega-monster.

Come time 21, and they let the mega-monster hand them their asses for 15 minutes before it occurs to them... "Hey, maybe we should combine our superweapon?"

Bah. These rangers were dumber than dirt. Not the role models I want for my child. Only the profound stupidity of the bad guys allowed them to get away with their own stupidity.
