So where's all this fear & dispondence in right wing peeps coming from? If it's mostly same ole same ole, why the Chicken Little routine? Why so anti-Obama where they used to be so Pro-Bush if there aren't real substantive differences in SOP?

I can't speak for the right wing, as I'm firmly in the 'wrong-wing' camp, but the civil liberties stuff is very disappointing. Not that I expected much different. Precious few leaders will reduce their power voluntarily.

However, I'm pretty happy with a lot of what Obama's done. It's been mostly superficial, but we sure needed the facelift.

Gitmo is still open, we won't be leaving Iraq whole sale, we'll still have a significant presence there, the world's leaders are showing us a total lack of reciprocity to Barry's show of weakness .....

And with that, my days of taking you seriously (politically anyway) have come to an END.
Thanks for playing.

The message is the message; it is you I don't like.
Sorry, you practically begged for that one.

You're just too partisan for me to take at all seriously anymore, dude.

You know what, I've been thinking of trying to go into politics here. The more I think about it the more I want to do it and the more I think it would be a bad idea. But the main object of my ire is the whole CCTV and ID card nonsense the government is considering (plus MP expenses, David Cameron claimed £160,000 pounds expenses last year).

I don't care if you loathe me or not, but to see you ignore reality like this, based on such irrelevant factors , does disappoint, I will say in all truthiness. I had you pegged as better than that, above.

Well, there seem to be a whole lot more yahoos clutchin their guns and hopin for a civil war.

Tell me about it. But I'm board of the Labour - Conservative see saw. Conservatives fuck up the country, labour gets in. They fuck up the country. Conservatives get in. They fuck up the country. Lib Dems say "give us a chance" and they're ignored (they should be, they haven't a clue).

Maybe just if someone could get into the house of commons and live during the parliamentary debate say stuff like "do we need expense accounts that double our salary, really?" it could make an impact.

You sure? You might want to have a look at Jongsstraw, Jewelstaitefan, and a few others; they certainly seem to be suffering from SOME kind of derangement and delusion!

Yep, and if it comes to it, turning their ignorance, intolerance, and downright stupid gullibility on them in such a way as to turn them into a circular firing squad will make me squeal with giddy delight like a schoolgirl with free front row boy band tickets.

Hell, I may even riverdance.

Only thing imma feel when they start mowing each other down over one or the other not being extreme/intolerant enough, is satisfaction.

I know we spend more. And I think we are only left with the "change" Obama promised. Well, it just seems that way to me. I'm not seeing any great change sweeping the nation. However, I do see a lot of Czars being named. I'm pretty sure it's just Obama's way of usurping congress. Seems like the same kind of bullshit Bush/Cheney would try. But it is early.....
