Yeah, he does the right thing when not under too much pressure. Last week he banned logging in national forests.

His pressure threshold is higher than Bush's. Bush did the right thing in a lot of his Africa policy, because no one was pressuring him. But a tiny bit of pressure could make Bush do the wrong thing. It takes a moderate amount for Obama. (he lifted the stem cell ban, but for 400 billion, he reinstated it.)
