Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

I have always despised these, "Let's scare the living daylights out of someone and laugh" shows.

Every time I watch them, I hold hope that the target of the prank goes way off script and takes action that will end these shows forever.

I remember in one of them that I saw, some friends were in a trailer-home in the woods, and a 'bigfoot' attacked the trailer. I remember thinking, "If he pulled out a gun and shot bigfoot right now, this would never happen again."

Sometimes a scary monster jumps out of a trash bin or something. "If she pulled out a knife right now and stabbed the monster, it would end these shows forever."

I keep perversely hoping, each time I see one of these, that the unwitting subject of the scare will turn the tables on the show crew.

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

I agree 100% with Anthony. Both videos are disgusting, and the second one horrifying. I never watch those shows, and I don't think anyone would wish something on another like that second one...but I also don't think something like that or similar will ever stop the damned things.

I never watch the ones with people being scared, fooled, supposedly "funny videos" of people falling down, etc., and never saw the humor in pratfalls and physical comedy of the painful kind. I always end up looking at the person who suffered--whether through their own stupidity or stupidity forced upon them, and think of how THEY must feel.

Makes me a woos, I suppose, but the humor eludes me.

The second one, I hope is a fake.. but I hope Anthony sees the point I was trying to make.

Some jokes are funny some are not\

I sad to say I laughed my ass off at this, but wonder if it might be over that line

Hello,

I'm pretty sure that was staged, which allows me to give a chuckle.

But no, that kind of prank is annoying, yet ultimately harmless.

The pranks where you transform your target into a frantic, desperate creature who believes they are about to die?

Those need to stop. It should be illegal to do that to people, and if the perpetrators of such 'good fun' got hurt in the process of scaring someone witless, I can't say I'd be broken up about it.

It is basically, to me, equivalent to torturing someone.
