They don't need special gay rights since they have mostly the same rights straight people have. I give the fella (Milk, not Penn) all sorts of credit for being gay when that wasn't popular in California. But it was never a rights issue, just attitude and cultural bias. Nobody ever asked for a special law for Irish rights or Italian rights. Race and gender bias needed legislative and judicial correction and because they were not seeking additional right not available to other classes. For example, they are as free to get married as anybody else, and they are just as barred from same sex marriages as anybody else. They do not deserve laws that give them more rights then other citizens have. H "Hero. I have come to respect you." "I am forced to agree with Hero here."- Chrisisall, 2009.

"Milk" is simply an amazing film! It methodically and intelligently strips away any and all arguments that anyone could have against Gay people's rights. You can only come away from the film believing that there is really nothing rational to even debate about. It is a powerful film that will move even the staunchest opponents to reconsider & cast aside their belief system. If you're of the anti-gay variety, I challenge you to see the movie and not be changed.

Mostly is good enough, since they're not really people, right? We all have mostly the same rights depending on where we live and the circumstances. Women can use the ladies room (with its fancy couch) but if men use it we'll get arrested (or hit with a purse). Men can walk around topless on the beach, woman can't (in most places despite what I believe is a Constitutional Right we all need to get behind). Men play football professionally. Women can win the Miss America pagent. People live in different states, with minor variations to their respective state constitutions. Nazis and Gay folks can have a parade (with a permit). Al Queda operatives can't (with or without a permit). Kids can't go outside after curfew. You can yell fire in many place, but not in theaters. H "Hero. I have come to respect you." You don't need laws to protect those rights. The Consitution already protected those rights. All they really needed was the removal (as unconstitutional) laws restricting those rights. Sodomy is a good example. The Constitution contains a right to privacy that would protect consensual gay sex between adults. So you don't need a law protecting gay sex, you need to get rid of the law, through Constitutional challenge, that criminalizes the conduct. H "Hero. I have come to respect you." They were layin' the nuns; that's been goin' on for years, centuries. But the Catholic Church went to hell three or four centuries ago. It was homosexual, and it had to be cleaned out. That's what's happened to Britain. It happened earlier to France. Let's look at the strong societies. The Russians. Goddamn, they root 'em out. They don't let 'em around at all. Quote: Evil eyes: Louise Ciccone with Mafia killer Chris Paciello Madonna Seeing Mafia Killer Chris Paciello Again? Madonna has now been linked to convicted mafia killer Chris Paciello. The 50-year-old singer was rumoured to be involved with 37-year-old Paciello 10 years ago - before he was jailed in 1999 for seven years for his role in a New York robbery which left a woman dead. [Paciello had been free on $15-million bail.] A source claims Madonna has been flying to Paciello’s home in Miami to rekindle their relationship between shows on her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ tour. She also reportedly put up £25,000 bail when Paciello was arrested on suspicion of beating up a man in Hollywood in August. A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “Chris was in trouble again earlier this year, and it was Madonna he turned to for help then. They’ve remained close, and they’re in constant touch wherever she is in the world.” It has been reported the pair were both staying in the same hotel in Toronto yesterday, after Madonna’s performance in the Canadian city on Saturday (18.10.08). www.javno.com/en-celebrities/madonna-seeing-mafia-killer-chris-paciello-again_194211
Quote: DreamWorks UNMADE MAN movie with Marky Mark? Chemical Cowboys: The Club King Of New York TruTV (aka Court TV) Paciello was born Chris Ludwigsen, but he took his mother's maiden name at sixteen, in rejection of his father, a former bouncer and heroin addict who faced charges in the late 1980s for burglary, auto theft, and drugs. Paciello was tight with the Bensonhurst Bath Avenue crew, a gang that got its start robbing pet shops and video stores and paid the Bonanno crime family for the right to invoke its name for protection in disputes. By twenty-one, Paciello had orchestrated a $300,000 bank heist in Staten Island. A year later, in 1993, he was behind the wheel of a Mercury sedan playing the getaway driver in a botched home invasion robbery in Staten Island that ended with the death of forty-six-year-old housewife Judith Shemtov. Paciello had heard that Shemtov's husband, Sami, a wealthy businessman, kept hundreds of thousands of dollars in a safe hidden somewhere in the house. Judith Shemtov was sipping tea when she answered a knock at her door and three men with guns shoved their way in and ordered her to "open the safe." Sami heard gunfire and rushed in to find his wife shot in the face with a .45 automatic. The shooter was thirty-year-old Tommy Reynolds, a Bath Avenue soldier so reckless that he had nearly killed a Gambino crime family associate outside a Brooklyn bar two years earlier. Chris Paciello needed a good reason to leave New York while police snooped around the unsolved Shemtov murder. In August 1994, Paciello moved to Miami and bought Mickey's, a restaurant previously owned by actor Mickey Rourke, and managed by John Gotti's former driver Carlo Vaccarezza. Paciello invited Caruso to join him as a promoter and club director. In November 1994, Caruso and Paciello reopened Mickey's as Club Risk. Attendance was lackluster. Paciello lost faith in Caruso's promoting prowess, and Caruso grew increasingly frustrated at being frozen out of management decisions as Paciello took closed-door meetings with Gambino family associates Johnny Rizzo and John D'Amico. Caruso's girlfriend, who stayed behind in New York, had just given birth to their son and wanted Caruso to come back home. But it wasn't until he found a murder fugitive in his Miami apartment that he decided to cut his losses. Paciello had given Gambino mobster Vinnie Rizzuto Jr. the okay to hide in Caruso's apartment while the FBI and the Columbo family were looking for him for the murder of a capo's son. By February 1995, Caruso had fled back to New York and vowed to his girlfriend that he would uphold his New Year's Eve resolution not to drink, deal drugs, or be lured back into a life of crime. Caruso was fearful that Paciello would kill him just for what he'd seen and heard. Fugitive Rizzuto, who was later caught using Caruso's name and identification, would eventually plead guilty to murder and was sentenced to twenty-five years. Club Risk mysteriously burned down weeks after Caruso's exit, and Paciello used the insurance money to open a new club that boasted such celebrity guests as Jennifer Lopez, Donald Trump, Niki Taylor, and Gianni Versace. The handsome nightlife impresario became a celebrity in his own right, dating supermodels and attending charity balls. But years later, the feds finally caught up with Paciello. In 2000, the twenty-nine-year-old club owner pleaded guilty to his role in the bank heist and Shemtov's murder as part of a cooperation deal and was sentenced to seven years. Tommy Reynolds, who shot Shemtov, got life in prison. www.trutv.com/library/crime/gangsters_outlaws/gang/chemical_cowboys/12.html

Quote: Actor Jason Stratham (left) with Mafia friends at Polaroid House in LA A murderous Mafia associate who turned government informant in a bid to avoid life in prison has emerged from custody and landed in Los Angeles, where he was just photographed partying with celebrities at a Malibu beach house. As seen in the below photo, convicted felon Chris Paciello, 35, was snapped with "Entourage" star Kevin Connolly during a bash at the Polaroid Beach House. The waterfront estate, which has drawn celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, is used as a promotional tool by the photo firm, which released, among other images, the picture of Paciello and Connolly (we're guessing that Polaroid had no idea about the bloody criminal pedigree of Paciello, who left federal prison last fall). The publicity photo first appeared on TMZ.com, where Connolly's companion was identified only as his "buff buddy." The mob henchman, who was part of a Colombo crime family crew headed by captain William "Wild Bill" Cutolo, turned government snitch after pleading guilty for his roles in a $300,000 bank heist and a Staten Island home invasion that ended with the murder of female homeowner Judith Shemtov. www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2007/0710071paciello1.html That picture of Chris Paciello (Binger) should be altered to make his face a RAT's face. This low life rat told on and made up stories of all his close friends, even his best friends who were there for him thru thick and thin. Who ate Sunday dinner with him, Keith and his Mom and sometimes his Grandfather (great meatballs). Chris is a rat, the lowest thing a person could be. This coming from one of his former best friends, Chris didn't Rat because he felt bad or any remorse for the person he and he alone started the chain of events and participated in the murder of an innocent Mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend to many. He ratted because he got caught. He ratted for himself to save his own ass. Trust me; he waited till every other route was exhausted. Then when there was no way his money or high priced lawyers could get him time off he Ratted. He would have raped a 4 year old boy to get out of it, if that’s what had to be done. He hurt many people and families and little children who had to grow up without there fathers, uncles, and mothers without there sons. Funeral’s missed hundreds and hundreds of people’s lives ruined, people who killed no one. Just because Chris decided he didn’t want to take the time for the crime he committed because he’s better than everyone. How F**K*D would the world be if everybody lived by those rules. Doing anything and everything possible to not do the time for the crimes they have committed. This is so nice and convenient, “wow” even our military should adopt this policy, get caught tell all the positions, plans, and where your superior officers are and get rewarded when your done. Na F*** that… I’d rather not commit crimes I don’t want to do the time for and keep my soul for God to judge, but that’s just me. Look in the mirror it’s nice to see your own reflection www.tmz.com/2007/07/10/polaroid-rage-at-the-beach/

Quote:Originally posted by AnthonyT: Hello Rue, Potential Spoilers Below: Sometimes I am reminded of the 2002 movie Hero starring Jet Li. A visually stunning picture, it amounted to my mind to little more than a Propaganda Piece that apologized for cruel governance. The titular Hero of the piece was a man whose home village had been brutalized during the Emperor's conquests to unify China. Several civic-minded assassins rose up from the populace, hoping to slay the Emperor. So, the Emperpr put a price on their heads. The cherry on top was that whoever rid him of these troublesome assassins would be granted a personal audience. So the titular Hero went on a crusade to find and remove these assassins. This, so that he could get access to the Emperor and rid the world of his tyranny. When he was finally granted his audience, and heard the Emperor speak of his plans to improve China and make a more perfect society, the Hero realized the error of his ways. He confessed to the Emperor that he had come to kill him, and informed the Emperor that he had no choice but to slay him as an example to others. The film ends with the Emperor's archers lining up and executing the Hero. Moral of the Story: A true Hero endures tyranny within government for the prospect of a better society. --Anthony P.S.
