So you think you've had a bad day at work? This guy's day was worse.

I *HOPE* this is fake. They say he injured his leg a bit, but that's it. And of course, he's so very, very fired.

They should have reinforced posts to protect the rakes. I have worked in industry for years and forklift drivers are the worst. I have seen forks run right through cement block walls and loads spilled because the driver turned at to high a speed.
At a major manufacturing plant, where I was taking a tour, it was company policy that you were responsible to stay out of the drivers way so they could speed down the aisles without stopping. Nothing was allowed to slow down production. So speedy delivery was a company policy.
This was funny to watch. Both the drivers in the video looked like they were buried. You say no serious injures. That is lucky. I hope the driver was not really fired.
As the Doors song goes, "Keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes upon the road."

Every big warehouse I've ever worked in had the reinforced posts; I was surprised this one didn't.

As for forklift drivers being the worst, I have to disagree. Never have had a mishap, and I've driven 'em for over 20 years. Maybe because I tend to be very careful, and never take 'em for granted...

I've seen some guys that were very good, and some that were beyond horrible

and the funny thing is the guys who were very good never drove the forklifts for long, they always got the bump up to something else so you had to put up with the same horrible guys...

lol

That's strange. It looks to me like the boxes from the top shelf of the one side is what made the other side fall, but why did the other side fall towards the impact?

Damaged the supports on that side?

Calvin and Hobbes reference for the win.

If this wasn't a reference to the title, I missed it. Otherwise, Judith Viorst. I sell kids books.

Oh, hell, Traveler - that's just my forklift driving record. I wish my REAL driving record were that clean, too. Just wrecked one of my CRXs last week. Somebody - on their phone, of course - changed lanes into me, and put me into the curb. Blew two tires, cracked the rims, bent the chassis, mangled the suspension. Naturally, the other driver didn't even bother to stop. I wish I'd have had a forklift handy that day - I'd have lifted their car HIGH into the air and then dropped it on its roof.

My car accidents aways start with a warning. In my last one I could not get my usual parking space on the the side of the street I was heading down. That was my warning. I got pissed and pulled into a driveway to turn around so I could take a space available on the other side of the street. So there I am backing up, just like the forklift driver in the video, and I am looking down both ends of the street to be sure no traffic is coming and I did't steer enough and hit the car parked across the street. As soon as I realised I would have to change my normal parking habit I should have seen this coming, but no, I am too pissed at all the trouble I have to go through to park my car. Haste makes waste.
Now I am wondering if that is what happened to the forklift driver in the video. He was paying to much attention to the second forklift and didn't see that he had not turned his wheel far enough before backing up.

Hell, Frem - I'm game to try it. I'll drive pretty much anything with wheels. That ain't to say that I'll drive it WELL, but I'll sure give it hell. ;)

John Lee, conspiracy therapist at Hollywood award-winner History Channel-mocked SNL-spoofed PirateNew.org wooHOO!!!!!!

That happened to me once at Home Depot. I pulled one screwdriver off the shelf and the whole damn wall fell down.

Then I got the hell outta there! Tripped over an illegal alien on my way out. Won a million bucks in court.

Took flying lessons.

Rented a plane.

Got picked up up by the coast guard.

Went and joined the air force.

Decided to fly the airlines instead.
