Also, the Washington Times article is an editorial.

I'd like to know the nature of the books in question. I'm not opposed to the idea of age appropriate content. Some of the "where do babies come from" books I was exposed to when I was four I wish I'd never read. I know that overly specific descriptions, such as the names of the body parts and what goes where can be traumatic, even without any of the how or suggestive text. A four year old doesn't need any more information than "the father put the baby in there and made the mother pregnant." Close enough.

Our culture is hypersexualized as you say, and as someone who doesn't fit in it anywhere I hate all of it.

On the other hand, I could care less if homosexuality or transgenderism become more mainstream, so long as it's a conscious choice.

Of course, I've made it abundantly clear many times how I feel about the people said flyer is trying to rile up, the only decent use of em being bone ash fertilizer for my black roses.

Well, that's a good point. I guess just because I was uncomfortable is no reason to limit sex education to what I would consider age appropriate.

Bah. I don't plan on raising or teaching kids myself, I get frustrated too easily, so this isn't my area of expertise. Don't exactly have many workable ideas I can contribute. Back when most people lived on farms, they could just watch the dogs or cattle or something and figure it out. Maybe that's still the best way, just have to tell the kids the animals aren't hurting each other then add in information like you were taking about in regards to tolerance and different orientations.
