Sure, the residents of the Warsaw Ghetto rose up against tyranny, but they were, pretty much to a man, all cut down for the offense of speaking truth to power. As to the original post, it's horrendous and I've long been furious with our unquestioning backing of Israel, and how I believe it has encouraged them to do things they otherwise wouldn't, given their desire for our continued financial backing.

But I don't think they learned it from the Nazis, that's a leap I'm not clear on. Every war has included horrors of one kind or another, the Nazis weren't the first, the Israelis won't be the last (nor will WE, and some of the methods we've used could be said to have been derived from the Nazis as much or more than what you point out).

As to the righteousness you protest, I think there are a number of people here who have more right to it than you, Wulf; you've been pretty narrow-minded and judgmental about others' rights, even right to exist, quite frequently.

I think if you were ever to find some consistency in your stated belief of everyone's right to exist, that would have some chance of believability. But suddenly saying such things after a long, long time of advocating violence and attacking those who think differently than you completely negates what you're saying.

You said Mike was wrong in judging a paradox between your idea of a perfect world and the way you behave, yet you didn't explain HOW he was wrong, since all we can know of you here is what you post, which is diametrically opposed to what you claim here.

Can you tell us exactly what it IS you are "trying to do"? I haven't seen anything that would lead me to believe you're trying to do the things you've cited in this thread, more I have seen you attack people, post that violence is the answer to most things, and put up videos of fantasy heroes. Clarification would be nice, tho' consistency (if you actually believe the things you're saying in this post) would be even better.

3. US consular personnel are withdrawn, embassy's are closed until a reasonable solution is implemented

4. All Israeli diplomats, lobbyists, military and intelligence types are to return to Israel until a reasonable solution is implemented.

5. All economic ties are severed, Israeli airlines lose US landing rights, imports and exports are canceled until a reasonable solution is implemented

The EU and others may follow suit, that is their concern.

I guess, Gino, I'd like to see everything else tried first. I guess that would mean that the US would have to change its beliefs, and that any Israeli influence would have to be changed in the first place, which assumes we could get past what you listed.

IF we could (which would mean the influence you cited would have been erradicated or at least moderated in the first place), then I wouldn't want to cut diplomatic ties as drastically as you suggested, because communication IS the solution to all problems, in my opinion, and what you suggested would cut it off.

I suppose I'm hoping that if we stopped supporting them monetarily and militarily, their attitude might change enough that diplomacy would have at least a chance of being more effective. Does that explain why I wouldn't do #3 or 4 RIGHT AWAY? Certainly if nothing changed despite our lack of backing, I'd agree to the other two, I just wouldn't do them immediately.
