"When msnbc.com, other news organizations and citizens of Alaska sought Palin e-mail records after she was named the Republican vice presidential running mate in August 2008, the state initially quoted a cost as high as $15 million for state technicians to find the e-mails, for state interns to print out the e-mails one at a time, for state lawyers to read them to determine what information could be withheld, and for a print shop to photocopy them.

"That's still the laborious approach the state has taken, at what it says is a cost of more than $500,000 in staff time, but the prices it is charging have come down considerably. The state charged msnbc.com only $323.58 for the records released this week."

Then there's all the info in the emails, even if it's just the bits that passed redacting. Sooo much fodder. Oh, please run for president, Sarah. I'm needing the entertainment!

BTW - OK, I know it's msnbc and they've got a big ole slant, but those emails are real. Check the article and you can have a look at them in pdf.

Gee, I think the more interesting thing is how much the First Dude had to do with things! I mean, we always KNEW, but wow! What's his political background, again??

Yeah. Funny that it's the weird money numbers that really entertained me about this story. I guess it's the ridiculous BS politicians pull to try to keep their secrets. $15 million to find some damned emails? I remember that discussion, and thought it was pretty damned silly. And in the end it cost a few hundred.

As for the real issue with the Dude - yeah, not overly surprised. Maybe a little surprised at how blatant they were about it in these mails. I wonder what will come of it.

Oh good lord... and it appears that, while mocking Obama for using a teleprompter, SP had notes written on her hand. As bugs would say: What a ma-roon!

That's just freaking great. The only thing Sarah needs now, to REALLY pump up her speaking presence, is to drop in "therefore" and "such-as" a whole lot more often.
