Oh, but it's ever so much more fun to lampoon you, lambaste you, and point you up time and time again for the fool and tool you truly are.

Besides, it gets even MORE fun when you go off your meds, go ballistic, and start entire new threads about how unfairly I'm treating you.

But it's not. There are politicians worthy of your support. And the only thing worse than a politician who isn't worth your time - is one who isn't worth your time but who gets re-elected anyway.

I live in Utah, Rue. >_>

I mean, that kind of says it all.

Maybe I could move somewhere were my vote would matter, but I love the mountains around here too much. So I'm going to settle for screwing up dumb deals the local corrupt politicians keep making with developers, and hope for some cracks to appear in the national scene. Because right now, seems like both parties are pretty much in control, and most everyone running for national office is compromised in some way.

Though I could also settle for running Jim Matheson and Orin Hatch out of town. Freaking unbelievable ... GRR. I hate them. Mitt Romney also has local roots, I could turn them against him as well. He's pretty much evil.

Thirded.

But he's not coming back to this thread anyway. We can probably expect an all new thread that pretends this one didn't happen, sometime tomorrow I'd guess.

EXACTLY! He's see the light!

You don't have a problem when those you agree with protest - but you do when you don't agree with them.

Like I said - you are as guilty of it as anyone. Except no one here is calling the Tea Parties unAmerican - so you are surpassing everyone else here on that particular style of hypocrisy.

You're overlooking one key element. My views don't change depending on who sits in the White House.

There were massive organized protest against the wars in Iraq ( mainly ) and Afghanistan when Bush was in office.

We're still in those countries, and are implementing another surge, this time in Afghanistan.

Where are the massive peace rallies ? Where are the signs calling for Bush/ Cheney err..... Obama/ Biden to be tried for war crimes ?

Oh, that's right.... Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize....after just how many days on the job ? ( Days, not months or years... DAYS )

Except that you never felt the need to bring up ANY of that when Bush was more than doubling the national debt, spending us into ENORMOUS deficits, bankrupting the nation chasing nonexistent "grave threats" in Iraq, and more. In fact, if anyone dared to point out the foolishness of such a policy, you'd deride them incessantly, as I pointed out above.

Bush massively increased the size of the government, massively increased the debt, massively increased the deficits - and I should add that all of those are things which your OTHER right-wing hero, Reagan, did as well. And you never uttered a god damned word about any of it, unless it was to shamelessly support it, until well after Bush was out of office. THEN you decided you had a problem with it, after all.

Somebody (antimason?) pointed out that the Republicans get their support because they "at least put fiscal conservatism in their platform"; are y'all really so easily duped? All I have to do is SAY I'm a fiscal conservative, and I can then go out and spend like a drunken debutante with daddy's platinum card, eh? Is that how it works in RappyWorld™?

Good point, Rue, and actually before healthcare became such a debacle, I donated about sixty dollars to out of state democratic Senators who I thought might balance Dumbass Matheson and Hatch. Unfortunately, at this point I think the people I contributed to spent more on the pamphlets they sent back to me than they did saving any of it for their campaign coffers or actually fighting for a bill that makes sense. I think unless you can contribute more than $200, it might be kind of a waste.

AU, you're kind of generalizing here, the population at large isn't having any big anti-war anti-Obama rallies, but the liberals represented here are far from happy about Obama continuing to support the war(s), and they're pretty outspoken about it too.

So full of false equivalency it's barely worth bothering.

But here - if Obama decided to illegally invade another country for erroneous reasons, I would be protesting. But that's not the case - he's dealing with a mess that Bush left him.

If he had continued the torture policy, I would also be quite pissed. But he's not.

And it's amazing you don't think that "It's treason to critisize the President" and "It's okay if I agree with the critisism" isn't changing your views.

You are so pathetic. But I am glad you came back to RWED - it's much more fun to poke holes in your bullshit than the other neocons around here.

Because if a Republican does it - it's not overspending.... or something.

Remember Rappy's favorite old line? "The economy is on fire".

Granted - it was kinda true, just not in the way our resident Raptard meant it.

First, I did comment on Bush's excessive spending.
And I am tired of going over this time and time again. You really are hoisting a straw man argument, over and over and over again. Bush didn't bankrupt this country w/ his policies, he GREW THE ECONOMY FOR 6 STRAIGHT YEARS!

If what Bush did was bad, then what Obama is doing is far, FAR worse. Why ? Because his debt is so much more massive, and in a time when our economy can't pay it back.

Reagan ended the Cold War, and got us out of an even worse economic situation ( imo ) than we're facing now.

Bush 43 was getting us out of a far milder economic down swing, and then we were attacked. Overlooking that crucial fact and ignoring the impact that had on the world economy can't be seen as anything other than disingenuous.

The 'Bush did it too" cry is false and shows a complete disconnect to the facts.

I have a vote and I'm not afraid to use it!

"There were massive organized protest against the wars in Iraq ( mainly ) and Afghanistan when Bush was in office."

There were no massive protests against Afghanistan though at the time I said it was a bad idea b/c the Taliban would have GIVEN us bin Laden if we could have been content to send him to the ICC. But no, we had to attack anyway.

"We're still in those countries ..."

In 2007 the number of US troops in Iraq was 162,000.
By November 2009 that number was down to 115,000.
During this year troops will be drawn down to 35,000 - 50,000.
All US forces will be out of Iraq by 2011.I'm not sure WHY I should be protesting anything about Iraq, except the terrible mess Bush made and the fact that he spent a TRILLION (off the books and borrowing from the Chinese) in order to do it.

(And BTW Rap, what YOU said was that Bush didn't have a big deficit. And what I posted was that it was b/c Bush part deux put all the Iraq spending in the emergency spending bill SPECIFICALLY so that it wouldn't show up in the budget.

I remember, even though you seem to have revised your history to suit your ego.)

Afghanistan is another story.

"Where are the massive peace rallies ? Where are the signs calling for Bush/ Cheney err..... to be tried for war crimes ?"

You are mistaken yet again as the the reason for the rallies re IRAQ.
The reasons were that 1) Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11. 2) Hussein had no WMDs. 3) Hussein was complying with the UN. 4) The US had no justification in fact or law to attack Iraq.

Many people around the globe who had a clue (unlike you) understood this, and rightfully knew the war to be a war of choice - an aggressive act against another country.

“(2007)the number of US troops in Iraq has hit its highest level since the beginning of the war,” with approximately 162,00 forces currently on the ground."
"Troops in Iraq - Total 115,000 U.S. troops as of November 30, 2009. All other nations have withdrawn their troops."
"Between 35,000 to 50,000 troops will remain in Iraq, he said. They would be withdrawn gradually until all U.S. forces are out of Iraq by December 31, 2011 -- the deadline set under an agreement the Bush administration signed with the Iraqi government last year.
"Let me say this as plainly as I can: By August 31, 2010, our combat mission in Iraq will end," Obama said in a speech at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina."

Sorry, some how my quote got edited, for no apparent reason. fixed that for ya

Saddam did have WMD.

Saddam was NOT complying.

The U.S. had justification for military action.

As for Afghanistan, there were PLENTY of cries from the Left for us to get out of Afghanistan. PLENTY. Only the organizers ( members of the communist party ) were clever enough to make signs w/ the blanket statements NO MORE WAR , and 'US OUT OF THE MID EAST ' , but the meaning implied wasn't lost to anyone.

We never planned on keeping up the combat status in Iraq indefinitely. I'm glad it's winding down. Bush erred big time in keeping Rummy in for as long as he did, and that extended the war, imo. But we shall see. Obama also vowed that Gitmo would be closed by year's end.

How's that working out?

My anger towards Obama has diminished to merely seething.

Hope he keeps this promise, or it'll boil over again. Though if we do start exploiting Haiti, antagonize Venezuela into a fight, or declare War on Iran, or draw out sorting out the Gitmo detainees, he'll quickly lose the points he's gained with me.

I need like a little graphic I can adjust for my signature, some sort of daily "seethe-o-meter" based on how impatient I'm getting with Obama.

Oh, and Byte ?
Believe me, if you ever wanna sink Romney, I will gleefully help, but I don't think it's an issue any more now that the cash cow his campaign ran on no longer exists, heh heh heh.

As for the other two, I think any offer of direct assistance would be redundant as you can hack them off at the knees just as well yourself, good practice, it is, and it's all in making the right contacts.

Bonus points for not roughing anyone up, as I am, or was, wont to do in my time.

You're right - you have absolutely nothing to do with the facts. You've got RapFacts™! They're truthier!

Can I add to that list of RapFacts?

The economy is on fire! (Yeah, but not the way he thought. hee hee hee)

Reducing taxes raised Federal revenues.

Don't forget that 95% of Americans don't pay any taxes at all!

I'm still waiting for him to start going on about Obama's birth certificate. ;)

Since neither Obama nor Biden actually STARTED a war they don't belong on your list. Unlike Bush and Cheney.

"Saddam did have WMD.

Saddam was NOT complying.

The U.S. had justification for military action."

Anyone care to take this nonsense up ?

1. "As for Afghanistan, there were PLENTY of cries from the Left for us to get out of Afghanistan. PLENTY."

Were they MASSIVE ??? Because you posted MASSIVE.

Get a clue Rap. While you might like to edit your personal history of failure, it doesn't work when people can scroll up just a little bit and read what you actually posted.

Actually, what I said was ...

1. "As for Afghanistan, there were PLENTY of cries from the Left for us to get out of Afghanistan. PLENTY."

" 2.Where are the massive peace rallies ? Where are the signs calling for Bush/ Cheney err..... Obama/ Biden to be tried for war crimes ? "

That anyone could confuse plenty of cries ( which can come in all manner of forms, like signs, bumper stickers, blogs, letters to the editor... ) to massive or large gatherings of people , aka rallies, is a clear sign of someone being lazy, stupid or intentionally disingenuous for the sake of being argumentative.

Once again, I see the usual suspects here are more interested in Jr High name calling than dealing w/the facts. If anyone cares to deal w/ the substance of the issues, by all means, have at it.

"There were massive organized protest (sic) against the wars in Iraq ( mainly ) and Afghanistan when Bush was in office."

It was only later when I pointed out there were NO MASSIVE protests against Afghanistan that you posted this: "As for Afghanistan, there were PLENTY of cries from the Left for us to get out of Afghanistan. PLENTY."

Are you trying to forget that you posted that comment about MASSIVE protests against Afghanistan, Rap ? Or did yet another piece of reality slip your mind ? To be replaced by yet another Rap Fact™.

BTW, a good word of advice for you. If you have any self-reflection at all, you might want to consider how it is you can lie about your own recent history so easily and quickly - and consider what that means in terms of your ability to honestly know the larger reality.

You keep posting the same inanity after I've completely and clearly explained it. I provided quotes which show you're not making ANY sense, what so ever. I can only assume that you're that bored and that petty so as to fabricate this non issue as a means to annoy me or something, it really does defy explanation. I used plenty and massive to describe two entirely different things. There was no lying here, that's something you revel in. You have no case, none what so ever, and yet you continue on w/ this childish rant about something on which makes no sense, has no relevance and which I've PROVEN that you were 100% wrong.

Where's your apology ? You've been pwned, and it wasn't even that big a deal. You did it to yourself.

By the way, Wulfie, you never did respond to the corrections made in regards to your spiel about Toyota's quality going to shit because they were building their recalled cars in Mexico.

Did you forget?

And if we treat you like it's high school, that's only because we're assuming you'll get there someday.

You haven't explained it at all. You pointed to MASSIVE protests about the war in Afghanistan, then tried to backpedal and claim that what you meant in essence was more along the lines of "well, if they weren't massive, I'm pretty sure there were probably plenty of them. I think I heard somebody say that."

And now you think someone owes you an apology.

Okay, here's your apology: I'm sorry you never learned how to read or write, or otherwise effectively communicate your ideas to others.

And I'm sorry you went off your meds and let the howling monkeys in your hair take over again.

Nope, that's not what I meant in the least. I said EXACTLY what I meant, that there were ( you DO remember those rallies, yes? ) large, massive anti war rallies , and there absolutely was plenty of cries about the U.S. being in the mid - east. It's only you who is fabricating this crap about ' backpedaling, when there's no REASON what so ever for me to back pedal. You're just being petty and cowardly because you can't admit you're flat out wrong.

Yes, because I was falsely accused of doing something I clearly didn't do. I posted my quotes, EXACTLY, as they were and still are written, and it clearly shows I'm right.

Ooh - you're going with the old "I know you are, but what am I?" defense, eh?

Of the two of us, Rappy, only one of us knows what the plural form of the word "terrorist" is. Do you really want to open that door? Because I think it's going to hit you in the face. Time has shown me to be right 100% of the time on that point.
