This is me, feasting on your tears, Zitboy - and throwing a hearty I-told-you-so like a brick loaded cherry on the humiliation sundae you had to chow down on when your precious McCain landslide never quite appeared, neh ?

Grayson might be something of an ass, but so far all I have seen is a guy geniunely trying to represent his constitutency in the most respectable fashion he can, and if THAT makes him nuts, well then, we could certainly use a little more crazy.

And for dessert, you can have some more of Zit's tears, since he's no doubt crying over that damned librul Scott Brown, who keeps refusing to side with the Republican obstructionists in the Senate, and who is now throwing off the chains of the Tea Party that claimed credit for getting him elected in the first place.

He's no Democrat, but he also appears to not be quite the Republican the tea-baggers hoped for. Like Grayson, he seems to have an actual interest in REPRESENTING his constituents. Oh, the horror!

Gawd, I love it. Grayson walks over, confronts them by reading DIRECTLY from their own flyer, and the response is to demand an apology for something else. I heard NO response to his confronting them with their own flyer...what I heard at the end was a woman yelling "We're speaking metaphorically, Grayson, don't take us literally". I didn't hear a single word explaining or defending the flier, just an immediate attempt to change the subject by demanding an apology for something that happened previously, and "don't take us literally".

Good old Grayson--I wish to hell someone else would get the balls to confront them, on the floor or personally, and call them on their dirty tactics.

Not gonna happen, I know; he's the only one with the guts, but one can only hope...sigh...

"Media whore"?? Let's talk Bachman, Coultergeist, Beck, PALIN...and on and on...

Just 'cuz you have nothing to say, Zit, doesn't give you credence or mean shit.

And yeah, I heard about Brown...that's gotta have their 'panties in a twist' ...all that work, all that patting themselves on the back, and he's not quite turning out to be the Tea Partier they expected. Poor babies... you just gotta love it!

Oh, my, thank you! That is the BEST laugh I've had this morning! Talk about "nuts getting nuttier"...that you can compare ANY Dem as being nuts when you have those total kook Birthers and Deathers and 9/11 conspiracy freaks "speaking for" the Republicans, and people running around with hats and tea bags hanging off their heads...oh, my, I'm laughing so hard it hurts!

Show us ONE nutbag on the other side; Grayson asked them about the wording in OWN flier...that's "nuts"??

How about John "I'm no maverick" McCain; Saracuda hollering about nonexistant death panels, and on and on... 'Fraid the Repubs have a lock on the "nuts", my man...

Well, that would definitely explain the actions of the tea-baggers and the GOP for the last year or more...

Niki, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't lump me in with those batshit Birthers, Deathers or even the Neocon Repubs, thank you.

Maybe you just mean the conspiracy freaks like PN who take legitimate questions then exaggerate, and cite obviously photoshopped pictures to prove (and at the same time disprove) their theories.

I just don't think we have the full story is all.

The Scott Brown thing I hate as much as anything else, don't you find it a little duplicitous that he changed his platform once he's elected? That generally means he isn't representing his constituency after all... I don't find joy in that. I find anger and outrage. I don't care who you are, what you believe, if you trusted someone to help you, and they turned their back on you for their own glory, hurt the people relying on them who HELPED them get where they are, they're scum. On principle, I must hate Scott Brown with every fiber of my being for his betrayal of the people who trusted him.

This Grayson... You know what? Everyone says Whozits doesn't have a point, but isn't Grayson a little democratic tow-the-party-liner? He might be more outspoken, but in my books, that doesn't make you more brave or more honest. This may really be all for attention.

Until I know more about both sides here and understand who's spinning what story, I reserve judgment.

Again, I'm with Whozits. Wow. o.o Twice? This IS unprecedented.

In any case, most assuredly, Grayson MUST have some kind of baggage attached to him that will get him thrown out of office. That won't happen so long as he continues to serve his party and the goals of TPTB faithfully, but it MUST be present. He couldn't have taken office otherwise.

Wow.

You know that people who question the 9/11 official story come from all sides of the political spectrum, right? You know a good number of RWEDers that you talk with everyday belong to this group of "freaks," right? You know these "kook freaks" are firefighters, pilots, architects, engineers, and scientists, right?

*Raise hand*

9-11 truther here. I wasn't saying anything because it's not worth it to argue, once you're crazy you're crazy and you can't convince anyone otherwise.

I don't really believe the birther thing, but I know why they believe what they do. They're scared of Obama, scared of what he might do, so they're trying to figure out any way they can to get Obama out of office. It might be desperate, but it's not crazy. Tell me there aren't those of us on here who wanted to get Bush out of office in just as bad a way, people who think he should have been impeached.

I'm willing to respect all viewpoints and political alignments, so long as they don't involve forcing anything on anyone else, or violence. Guns are okay, but no threats or brandishing.

Well, of course he's gonna wind up like Spitzer, or get Bulworthed, if he steps on the wrong toes - doesn't mean we gotta let that happen, or play along to the script when it does.

Besides, he's winding them up and letting them do all the dirty work for him by publicly destroying their own reputation - how can you not give him props for it ?

Politics is the second oldest profession, and IMHO, dirtier, and less honest, than the first.

Hmm. I want to? I want to credit him and anyone else that calls out either side on their bullshit. But I can't and don't trust it, not while he could be under the influence of the machine.

Honestly, strikes me that he's only "destroying their reputation" for the people who already agree with him. The people who follow and support those whose reputations he's supposed to be "destroying" aren't going to be swayed. See AURaptor and Whozits' reactions.

So all I see is a lot of pretty fireworks but only smoke behind it. Nothing substantial.

Funny you should mention that...

Recently we had what was originally intended to be a protest up in Lansing based around second amendment rights, but since those *have* been respected and there don't seem any kind of threat to em at this time, it wound up being a more celebration of the right and excuse to show off your hardware than anything else, to the point where the usual no weapons in the building rules were temporarily suspended and you had folks with slung or holstered weapons just shootin the breeze with our state reps, and the whole atmosphere of it was festive, rather than fearful.

A couple folk even expressed interest in learning more, one a state rep who was interested in taking some CCW/Safety classes but did not own a gun - cue ten people sayin "You can borrow one of mine!".

You kinda had to be there to really understand, but the whole atmosphere of the thing was fun-festive, and the presence of the weapons themselves was treated with a shrug rather than fear and horror.

People can choose not to be afraid, yanno.
