Exactly, this is basically their policy as it is already, right down to the restrictions on weapons and "materials" (cement).

They'll just find reasons why the humanitarian aid still can't enter, possibly by planting stuff on anyone bringing in aid, or claiming that people offering aid were being threatening or resisted boarding for inspection or that they were attacked on boarding. Which they've already been doing. Blockade's still very much up.

They just don't want anyone coming in on the offchance that they actually will have managed to smuggle in weapons. Unfortunately, the policy makes people who were already angry with them even more likely to shoot off RPGs and set up IEDs, most of which probably aren't coming in by the mediterranean.

Well, it IS a bit of a change in policy. Whereas they have been using a list of goods that CAN be allowed in, now they'll be using a specific list of goods that CAN'T be allowed in.

So things like pasta CAN be allowed in now.

I sure hope the Palestinians don't start firing those deadly pasta missiles again!

Deadly pasta rockets? that's a tad understated dontcha think? I'm sure you are well aware that over 8600 missiles had been shot into Israel from 2001 through 2009.....And are just being a dick-head for the sake of being a dick-head....
