Tea parties? Tiny attention seeking niche voting block. Every advance they make is marred by the latest racist and/or militant statement from one of its "leaders." I'd say Obama, with all his faults, still comes out ahead when we look at all the tea party's faults. Not gonna get him thrown out of office before they shoot themselves in the foot, figuratively, of course.

Black Panthers? Nonstarter. Lunatic fringe is lunatic fringe. If Pastor "God DAAAAAMMMMNNN America" didn't keep Obama out of office, the Panthers surely won't get him thrown out. Come election time, forgotten.

The Economy? This here is prolly your best argument of the bunch, prolly worth all the others put together plus a sex scandal. Thing is, in order to defeat Obama on this one, the opposition is gonna have to come of with actual ideas other than "the Bush Tax cuts!"

So really you got one solid debacle here and 9 nonstarters, but even if all of these things could be turned into solid anti-Obama talking points in the upcoming election, the opposition are missing one kinda important thing: a single viable candidate.

Sarah is unelectable to national office. Yes, the base loves her, she's got the Republicans-that-Vote-with-their-Dicks vote sewn up, but other than that? Americans actually believe she said "I can see Russia from my house!" (Just so you know: she didn't, that was Tina Fey.)

Mitt Romney will never, ever be President, and he will poison any ticket that takes him on as VP. The religious right would sooner have their daughters marry Muslims than elect a Mormon. There's a reason he won election in one of the most liberal states in the Union.

Maybe, just maybe, if things continue to get exponentially worse on all fronts over the next 2 years, a Grayson/Paul ticket could capture the imagination of enough folk from left and right to mean something, but barring that, as far as I can see: ya got nothin'.
