The article states it is a leading program. It is not even close to the things the US is working on. It is on par, as the article states with US development. Yes I am a proud American, ex-military, and an avid pilot. It is just a prototype.

You seem to also have a poor grasp of history. Many of the advances made by the US were actually made by Britain, and shared with the US, composite Armour for instance. It's pretty dumb to assume that this is behind the US simply because the US is always ahead.
