Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Okay, so it's not technically a "real world event". But with all the bad news we hear about our guys fighting over there, it's nice to see one get such a gift. This is from yesterday:

There have been others, too. Just a "feel good" thing, nothing more:

Some were actual heroes. Seven months ago:

This one followed his soldier over 70 miles!

This one's kinda sad, but beautiful, too:

Some dogs left at home:

2005: This guy was reuinted with the dog he left behind, and my gasd, the dog goes NUTS!

2009:

I count three different organizations that made this possible...yes, there are important humans the money could be spent on, but these are our soldiers, and I find it really touching. If you can get through those without tearing up, well, I pity you...
