I watched a couple of zeitgeist videos a few years ago, i think this was one of them.

As I was watching I knew enough about some of the religious stuff they were saying to know that it was 'off'. My main problem with it was if you're trying to present a version of the 'truth', and claiming that large parts of the world in front of our eyes is a lie, you have GOT to be 100% truthful with what you're saying yourself. No rumours or dubious facts, no highly spun narrative... But this is a propaganda video, so that's pretty much all it deals in.

Perhaps there are room for credible conspiracy theories in the darkest corners of society and government, but I'll wait for an honest source to come along and tell them. Propaganda = shit.

It's not personal. It's just war.

In other words, it's pretty much just more of the same old GlenBeck bullshit, like when he rewrites history to try to spin his agenda. "See this Mercury dime? Look on the back side of it - what's that? Why - it's a fasces! It's the symbol of the fascists! And it was DESIGNED THAT WAY ON PURPOSE, under Woodrow Wilson, a fascist!"

And he never bothers to note that the fasces was a fairly common symbol in democracy at the time, because it was used to point to the strength of the many, and the strength of the people during war (on the dime, it's juxtaposed against an olive branch for peace opposite the fasces). And, of course, he never bothers to note that when the Mercury dime was designed and put into circulation, Mussolini and "fascism" (the term he invented and put into use, utilizing the symbol of the fasces) had yet to enter the Italian political scene, much less the world political scene.

Beck likes to ignore the truth in his "history" lessons, and replace it with "truthiness" - things that SOUND like they make sense, but have no basis in reality.
