This, just, this...

Quote:

In the dry upper reaches of Utah’s government, dominated by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the commission that oversees alcohol sales has a reputation — inside the state and beyond — for being less than friendly to the product, or at least unfamiliar with it.

A bill in the State Legislature, which advanced by a crucial committee vote on Friday, would address that concern by requiring that at least two people on the five-member commission be drinkers.

Applicants for the two drinking slots — all commissioners are selected by the governor — would even have to sign an affidavit to the effect that they had consumed alcohol for at least a year before their appointment.

How much drinking is required? Fair question, no doubt, for an applicant — but the answer is, unfortunately, unclear. The original draft of the proposed bill, HB 193, used the phrase “regular consumers,” but the bill’s sponsor, Representative Brian Doughty, a Democrat from Salt Lake City, said he deleted the word “regular” in an amendment after other legislators complained that the word was hard to define.

So is drinkin on the job a requirement ?

I can so see where THIS is going already...

Court Rules In Favor Of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco In Graphic Warnings Lawsuit

(RTTNews) - R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, an indirect subsidiary of Reynolds American Inc. (RAI: News ), announced that the U.S. Federal District Court Judge Richard Leon ruled in favor of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and other manufacturers in graphic warnings lawsuit.

The Judge held unconstitutional a regulation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that would have forced cigarette makers to place nine graphic health warnings on the top half of the front and back of all cigarette packages, and the top fifth of all advertising.

The company said the Court held that the proposed warnings violated the First Amendment by forcing the manufacturers to distribute an anti-smoking policy message.

This ruling will now be used to challenge the constitutionality of any state law requiring forced ultrasound intended to shame women seeking abortion services.

Well besides the source material, when one gets really, really, outrageously freakin plastered, you get hot, or feel hot, subjectively, leading to such things as missing clothes and waking up in the bathtub with a mortal hangover...

Not just guys neither, back in my younger, wilder days I usually wound up pack mule for the girls...
(As in carrying all the stuff they dropped or lost track of)

Heh... reminds me of one particular spring break , where I witnessed a couple of young ladies , putting on an exhibition of their diving skills, at the hotel pool. Sans bikini tops.

Their boy friends were less amused than the 100-150 other college kids, who were cheering them on.
