The MSM is saying Wisconsin is up for grabs today, 42 delegates. Buried in the fine print is that Maryland and Washington DC are also holding primaries today, and are a lock for Romney, 56 delegates.

So why isn't the headline, " Romney inches further ahead, Santorum loses more ground," .

'cuz that's what it's gonna be, even if Santorum wins big in Wisconsin. Over on CNN.com, they've got Santorum all but conceding everything that's gonna happen in April, like New York, and looking forward to May when the race moves back to Arkansas, Texas, and North Carolina, that is, back to the SOUTH.

I guess the MSM is hyping the horse-race, even if the race has gotta be, "Here's the Hail Mary that Santorum has to pull off just to remain in Second Place."

Why not just say it out loud: " Santorum is a Southern candidate, that's all he's got, and by May 1st he'll be so far behind, it'll be impossible for him to catch up, no matter what the South does-- too little, too late."

A cynic might say that the MSM want to keep the Republican race going as long as possible so their campaign war-chests will be as depleted as possible, and to give the candidates more chances to say something the MSM can jump all over and distort.

Knowing how even-handed and un-biased the MSM is, however, does this seem likely?

Yep, Geezer, that totally explains why Fox is also covering these things.

Or.... one could say that's a load of paranoid bullshit, and the primaries are dragging on because the GOP doesn't have a single candidate that anyone wants to see run.

Nah, couldn't be that...

I do believe that the media in general is doing what they can to prolong the primary process.

I just dont see it as anything other than a making money bias. The longer it goes, the more they get to cover it, the more people watch, the more they make on ads.

I dont see this as bing a left-right thing at all.

Seems to me the media did a lot of the "Is Hillary being ignored" type of stories last time around, while we were waiting for the primary to finish up. Pretty much amounts to the same thing, just slanted the other way.

In what world is the #1-rated news channel NOT part of the "mainstream"?

Why, only in GeezerWorld™! Come to GeezerWorld™, right next door and a little to the right of RappyWorld™. Suspend your disbelief! Check your brain at the door - you won't be needing it at GeezerWorld™! GeezerWorld™, where facts are stupid things!

It's kinda funny, though - last year, Obama's campaign staff was gearing up for a fight with Romney, who they presumed was the strongest contender and the likely nominee. And boy, did the right throw a hissy-fit about that! "Hey, now - hold on! We haven't even chosen a nominee yet!"

Okay, here we are, months before the convention, and the GOP *still* hasn't chosen a nominee, but now it's all the fault of "the MSM" for saying that there isn't a clear GOP pick yet, after being told for months to hold on and not say one guy had more of a chance than the others...

Yeah, it's probably all the media's fault, all right. How dare they do what the GOP asked them to do!

Is anyone ACTUALLY saying FauxNews ISN'T part of the MSM? I know Palin's cute little "lame stream media" has been parrotted endlessly, but who's stupid enough to say the highest-rated cable news show isn't mainstream??

When did Fox get on board, I missed that.

The whole reason the right thinks many media outlets are behind Obama is because the right can't stand it when people point out the multitude of non-logical arguments from conservatives.

It's well documented, and we've had this discussion time and time again.

Quote:

An analysis of federal records shows that the amount of money journalists contributed so far this election cycle favors Democrats by a 15:1 ratio over Republicans, with $225,563 going to Democrats, only $16,298 to Republicans .

Two-hundred thirty-five journalists donated to Democrats, just 20 gave to Republicans — a margin greater than 10-to-1. An even greater disparity, 20-to-1, exists between the number of journalists who donated to Barack Obama and John McCain.

Searches for other newsroom categories (reporters, correspondents, news editors, anchors, newspaper editors and publishers) produces 311 donors to Democrats to 30 donors to Republicans, a ratio of just over 10-to-1. In terms of money, $279,266 went to Dems, $20,709 to Republicans, a 14-to-1 ratio.

U were asked to cite a claim u made, and refused, because you know u pulled it right out of your ass.

So where exactly does the yes come from?

See Rappy, the reason that nobody believes anything u say, is that you cannot, or will not, back up anything that u say, which u constantly claim as fact.

Its made u a lauhgingstock, not that you would notice.

You should realize that this does not come close to proving your calim.

You said "95% of the MSM vote Democrat, contributes Democrat, and then tries to pretend that they don't slant their reporting and claim to be unbiased."

Yet the link only list a few hundred journalist. It also does not indicate where it got it's information. So I have no reason to believe a thing it claims.

85-90-95%..doesn't matter. The germane point is that the media are, even with FOX NEWS in the equation, wholly and entirely slanted towards the Left.

I don't know where he gets his figures, but yes, IN 1968, 94% of media had a liberal bias ("In 1964, 94 percent of media professionals voted for Democrat Lyndon Johnson over Republican Barry Goldwater." from Conservapedia, by the way). Not so any more:

1997:
Quote:

In a survey conducted by the American Society of Newspaper Editors in 1997, 61% of reporters stated that they were members of or shared the beliefs of the Democratic Party. Only 15% say their beliefs were best represented by the Republican Party. This leaves 24% undecided or Independent. http://phantasytour.com/bands/1/topics/2991420/posts Research Center surveys showing that 34 percent of media workers are self-identified liberals, up from 22 percent nine years ago. http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/archive/?date=20040603&
slug=thulets03
findings from The Hill show that 68 percent of media reports in a politically biased manner with 46 percent saying the media favors Democrats and 22 percent believing media favors Republicans. http://www.freedomszone.com/aggregator.php?id=73761 freely admit that the majority of the media is liberal, for which I have my own opinion, but given the example of FauxNews and how incredibly blatant it's right-wing bias is, I mean to the point of being hysterically funny sometimes, I'm not surprised there isn't a lot more conservatifve media. They just don't seem to do it too well...or at all subtly. JMHO.

Also in my opinion, since radio is dominated by conservatives, so perhaps there's some reason I can't pin down why conervatives prefer radio and liberals prefer TV.

So, Rappy, answer this question for us all. Just a simple Yes or No answer will suffice.

Will you pledge here and now to never try to impugn a source cited by someone else, and to openly accept their facts as posted and accept their cites as completely valid?

Just a Yes or No answer, please. If you've got the courage to answer at all, of course.

And you've never been able to show what you claim with regards to all media being "wholly and entirely slanted towards the Left." You do realize that when you say "wholly and entirely", you are claiming that every single media outlet is slanted to the left, don't you?

Thing is, NONE of those show Rappy's claimed "95%" number, not even the 1964 numbers, which come from a site with a known right-wing bias.

Now, coming on the heels of Rappy crying about Obama "lying" when he says things like "passed with a strong majority" in regards to Obamacare, and when Rappy wants to quibble over the words of others to such a nit-picking degree, then it seems only fair to call a lie a lie and call him out on his own frequent and repeated lies.

NOWHERE has he presented any evidence of a 95% liberal bias in the media, and NOWHERE has he provided ANY evidence to support his claim that the media is "entirely and wholly" slanted to the left.

Thus, such spurious claims must be viewed as lies, because Rappy keeps repeating them even when shown that they are patently false.

And THAT is where Raptor gets his information.

Show of hands, who is surpised?

Attack the source, but ignore the relevant details.

That's how you roll.

Posting this again because it seems someone doesn't want to answer a simple question.

Note to self: Mr. Raptor believes that women who want to control their reproductive processes are sluts.

Of course it'll never happen, Rappys a coward of the first degree.

But it is fun as hell to remind him of his cowardice. So bumpity-bump.

*Note to everyone*: Anthony is spot-on. Pay no heed to Rappy's pleas for pity.

Yep, as predicted - Rappy wont answer direct questions, but he has time to re-post threads.

Classic Rappy.

Of course not. Just like Im equally unsurprised that Geezer pulled his usual fade out after being wrong. But I do so ever enjoy pointing these things out anyway.

"Goram it kid, let's frak this thing and go home! Engage!"
