I wanted to post this to show just how serious this stuff is. I know most people know the individual pitfalls of meth, but recent comments lead me to believe that people are unfamiliar with the other nasty consequences of this.

Not only is the stuff explosive, but it gives off toxic compounds as fumes which settle EVERYWHERE and can make people unrelated to the cooking (or the children of meth cooks) very sick.

Also, because it's a bizarre story. Really? A purse? And she was caught SHOPLIFTING too?

Perhaps you all already knew this, but I ran across this and it seemed like a really good and dramatic example.

I think if you have to shoplift, then you are doing the risk/reward calculations wrong in producing this chemical.

It's possible she was currently under the influence, and so her judgement and inhibitions weren't up to par in her decision to shoplift, or that she might not sell the drug but have it for her personal use.

Byte - I'm pretty clueless as to the whole 'meth' thing, and kinda wanna keep it that way.

Never tried coke, ( thank you Len Bias ) and certainly never thought of trying crack cocain... but this Meth stuff. ick!

Reminds me of Jabroka, the drug from Alien Nation. Which also was made in labs, as I recall.

Only meth doesn't make you super strong, I'm guessing.
