Almost "excusively"? A room almost empty of excuses? Romney need make no excuses? Didn't know you were a Freudian Slip Conservative, Mike.

OH NOES! A typo! Drat it all!

If Romney need make no excuses, how come he makes so many excuses? Y'all on the right have gone from adoring Palin, who can't make a lick of sense on any issue, to now being on your knees in front of Romney, who takes at least two positions on EVERY issue.

Sorry Niki, my bad. I did not get the rules of RWED where it lays out exactly who can post what to whom, when and where. I did not realize that Frem could troll Geezer but I could not troll Frem for trolling Geezer. Please continue to "lay down the law" so we can clean up RWED and it can finally become the place you always hoped it could be.

Right.... and the forth pic, which you ignore, from the actual event, shows a lot more. But now one has a case but you, right?

Damn, age apparently has done a real number on you.

Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

I think it's very obvious that more people arrived after the original pic was taken. Even so, the whole first picture was clearly taken from a perspective designed to convey the impression of an empty room.

Later pictures were taken from a perspective designed to convey the impression of a full room.

Cameras are reliable witnesses, but they can only witness what they are told to witness. Perspective means a great deal, and clearly different people took pictures with the intention of focusing on different perspectives.

That room is huge, and people are arguing over whether the glass was half empty or half full as though the distinction will prove a point.

I do not believe the room was ever full. It certainly was also not empty nor even mostly empty during the presenter's appearance.

This thread is the definition of a propaganda and counter-propaganda campaign.

You aren't too bright, are you? Do you really imagine that sockpuppet alters post without any human interaction behind them?

Every sockpuppet is manned by a real human, but is not a separate human. One human can have an infinite number of sockpuppets. Some here have several. Some just have a few.

So, quick poll of anyone who's interested - do you see 400 - 500 people in this picture?

Sorry, Frem, but you go on the stupid list too. I thought you might figure it out, but your blinders seem to be rivited on as well.

So here it is again.

First picture: Wide angle shot of a crowd (note the word 'crowd', as it is key here) surrounded by empty chairs. I estimate 400 to 500 people in this CROWD in a room that could hold maybe 1800, so the room is 25% full.

Second picture: Niki's picture. "Ah hah," she says. "I found one of the actual event: Doesn't show how many empty seats there might have been behind this crowd, but it's of the event itself anyway, not before it."
It's a closeup of crowd (There's that "crowd" word again.) only shows about 300 seats (and no empty chairs), so there can only be 300 folks in the picture, but it appears that the CROWD extends beyond the edges of the frame, so there are probably more folks not in camera. I estimate the CROWD at about the 400 to 500 shown in the first picture.

So I say, "Looks like both pictures show about the same crowd. The first one's just farther away with a wider angle."

This would mean that I consider that both photos show a CROWD (which pretty much means all the whining about claiming an "empty room" is bogus) of about the same size, and that I consider Niki's photo to correctly portray about the number of people that are in that CROWD. The CROWD in the first picture just looks smaller because it shows more of the hall.

Now if I consider Niki's photo to be correct, what does that mean I'm doing?

Let me help you.

I'm a----ing with Niki.

And then Kiki ignores what I say and goes off on what she thinks(if I may used that term broadly) I am, and I really enjoy seeing her get more and more wound up until all you can hear is kind'a a high-pitched whine.

But let's review.

I note that there's a CROWD in both pictures.

I note that the crowd in the first picture looks smaller than the one in the second (Niki's) picture only because it is a wider angle shot, but is in reality probably the same size as the crowd in Niki's picture.

If you haven't got it yet, Here's the answer.

Select to view spoiler:

I'm agreeing with Niki about the size of the crowd.

Okay, Kiki. Now I've completely lost track of whatever point you think (if you could call it that) you're trying to make.

As noted above, several times, I think that the camera location and wide angle make the crowd in the first picture look smaller than the crowd in the second picture (Niki's picture), although they are probably about the same size.

I'm AGREEING with Niki, you nitwit!

Edit to add:

Yes. I'm editing this post, but I'm telling you so you don't have to put it in the vault.

Look at your picture (picture #3).

Count the number of rows of chairs from the stage back to the camera riser. How many do you get?

Count the number of chairs across one row. How many do you get?

Multiply the first number by the second number. What total do you get?

This argument was pretty silly to begin with...then it got sillier, and now it is so far past silly it isn't funny. The simple fact that Whatzit's attempt to say "Gaffe Master speaks to empty room" is totally false...how many there were in each picture is kind of irrelevant; Whatzit was wrong, period. Continuing to argue about it is, well, just plain silly. One has to wonder what people feel they have to gain by continuing to argue.

I get the snarking about "rules"...the amusing thing is, I've got just as much right to snark at anyone I want as everyone else has, and nowhere did I say anything to indicate any attempt to "control" anything. He snarked at Frem, I snarked back at him. Fair on both counts. End of story.
