Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

How about from him?

Or him?

The guy covered up priests molesting kids, so yes.

Also Hitler Youth history.

You may post some terrible corrupt Muslim clerics who also have awful policies if you like. This is an equal opportunity thread.

To be honest, I thought the priests molestation cases had been taking place years and years before Ratzy ascended to the Papal throne. If he was compliant in some cover up , yeah, slap him around some.

He was a cardinal in Germany at the time that a number of German cases were being handled by the church. There are also other cases that happened elsewhere in the world that he had some control over once he became pope, and he chose to look the other way.

It's speculated this might be part of why he stepped down.

As such, I've always felt the analogy to Pope Benedict and Palpatine was both funny and accurate, particularly the weirdness around Palpatine and Anakin and some of his other young apprentices...

Your pictures give me about the same heeby jeebies as THIS song does...

It LITERALLY makes me want to throw up, for some reason. Loved the rest of the soundtrack, though....
We've modified the words to "We'll be hiding in the hedges" which makes it even more creepy. Overly religious children ready to jump at you from the bushes??? *shudder I'll never look at a bush the same way again...
