SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (CBS Las Vegas) — A super volcano underneath Yellowstone National Park has the potential to cause worldwide climate damage if and when it erupts.

Speaking to BBC Radio, Dr. James Farrell of the University of Utah said that an eruption from this super volcano would be 2,000 times the size of the Mount St. Helens eruption in 1980.

“We know there’s been these really large volcanic eruptions in the past and what we’re seeing now matches that,” Farrell said. “We see that there is indeed a large magma reservoir and that there is the potential for large volcanic eruptions in the future, although that would be in the far future.”

Yep.

Yellowstone is even becoming more active. Researchers at the U of U have found indications that the magma chamber under yellowstone is filling, and possibly even expanding.

It has to be a hoax. After all, it mentioned "climate change".

Nat Geo ( or some such channel ) had a special on Yellowstone, and they talked about how the lake will slosh over its banks and then back again, as the crust rises and recedes. It's amazing, like tipping a bowl of water ever slightly, and then water rushes over the lip.

I wonder if we can tap that mother, and use the energy while keeping the whole thing from blowing, or just accept that we're fate's bitch, and let it happen.

Well duh. An eruption 2000x bigger than Mt St Helen sure as hell would change our climate.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen
