Atlanta Storm Was a Government Conspiracy? Snow Way!

Plait is their "Bad Astronomy" columnist, their go-to guy for debunking scientific crap. He's, of course, opposing this theory.

Seems that the Atlanta snow wasn't REAL snow, frozen water. It was something else, a secret plan by NASA, to dump chemicals, or nanobots or something else. The stuff supposedly doesn't melt, but turns into sooty black ick.

Probably a dolphin hugger stunt ordered by Obama.

Yah, sure, you betcha...

E-T-A: there's supposed to be a bunch of vids on YouTube to prove all this. Somebody cue Adam and Jamie...

America loves a winner!

1st I'm hearing of this " conspiracy ", so I have to wonder how legitimate this claim is actually.

Point of fact - Making snowballs was next to impossible. The snow was too dry. Very powdery. You'd have as much chance making a ball out of dry sand as w/ the stuff that fell here in Atlanta. At least, in my part of town. I tried to find the links Phil was talking about, which apparently showed the origins of these claims, but no luck. I think Phil may have been had, but folks who were just bored, and making crap up.

ETA - Judging from a few vids I saw on YouTube, me thinks a certain segment of our society is having a bit of fun w/ this stuff. Kinda like the , well, here...

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen
